A HAIR-RAISING PIC! Emmanuel Macron flashes his CHEST in awkward attempt to woo young voters

Netizens said Macron will stop at nothing to win re-election as his official photographer shared some candid pictures on social media

Emmanuel Macron has been accused by social media of trying to woo young voters after his official photographer released a series of behind-the-scenes pictures ahead of the second round of voting for the France presidential election where he faces far-right nationalist Marine Le Pen.

The series of images features silhouettes, some shots of Macron running on the stage and audiences. One particular image that has caught the public's eye has Macron lounging on a mustard yellow sofa. In the candid picture, Macron is wearing a whte shirt — unbuttoned to reveal his hairy chest. One of the sleeves is partially rolled up as he casually looks at the camera.

As soon as Soazig de la Moissonnière, the presidential photographer, released these these candid behing-the-scenes pictures on Instagram, fans started comparing the 44-year old French president to actors Sean Connery and Burt Reynolds — both known for their bushy chest hair. Many others compared Macron to the fuzzy-chested Roger Federer. 

On Twitter, this user said, "Macron will stop at nothing to win re-election"

Another said, "Justin Welby trolls Christians and non-Christians alike on Easter Sunday and Zelensky is hailed as a hero once more after mumbling in a weird video when he’s clearly off his tits. Also Macron on Instagram with photoshopped abundance of chest hair world." 

A different user said, "It turns out that Macron has an acceptable enough chest to be the new James Bond."

Voicing their opinion on the Photoshop claims, this user said, "seeing a lot of people saying that macron photo is edited, not me, i'm a macron chest hair truther"

This user noticed something completely different from the post. They said, "Everyone is laughing at Macron's hairy chest pic but wtf is even this lmao
 "

Another comment related to chest hair read, "Macron pulling out all the stops for this election runoff, including his 70s chest hair"

One wooed user said, "Just seeing Macron's chest hair has given me furballs."

Macron is running as he hopes to beat the far-Right politician Marine Le Pen. The pair going head-to-head is a repeat of the 2017 presidential election, when the first-round results were 24.01 per cent for Macron, and 21.03 per cent for Le Pen. Back then, Macron beat Le Pen with a resounding 66% in round two.

According to Daily Mail, Le Pen was popular with young voters in a poll earlier this month that suggested many felt aligned with her concerns on the cost of living crisis. Others found comfort in her other policies, which include strong views on the French identity, and Islam.  

Macron also accused Le Pen of having a secret 'Frexit' plan to follow Britain out of the European Union. "She wants to leave but dare not dare say so, and that's never good," Macron said. "She says that she wants an alliance of nation states, but she is going to find herself in a corner and she is going to try to come up with an alliance with her friends."
