Ellen DeGeneres reportedly ‘hasn’t reached out’ to ex Anne Heche or her family after car crash
On August 5, Friday morning, actress Anne Heche crashed her car into a house in the 1700 block of Walgrove Avenue in West Los Angeles, igniting a "heavy fire," and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Despite Heche's close call with death in a car accident, Ellen DeGeneres, who dated her from 1997 to 2000, has not contacted her to offer her condolences.
Sources reported to RadarOnline.com that the well-known talk show presenter has not spoken to or even sent a message to Heche. "Ellen is aware of the horrible incident, she read about the news like everyone, but she has not made any attempt to reach out directly to Anne or members of her family," the source claimed. "The pair haven't spoken in years, although Ellen wants nothing but the best for Anne."

Has Anne Heche been charged? Actress in critical condition, slipped into coma after fiery crash
Heche suffered "severe burns" in the violent crash and was sent to a critical care unit. Eyewitnesses said that Heche crashed into the garage of an apartment building while driving a blue Mini Cooper. Locals attempted to pull her away from the vehicle, but she persisted in driving.
Immediately after that, she slammed a house, setting it on fire. Heche's cupholder appeared to include a bottle of liquor in photos taken during the event. "She's lucky to be alive," a source claimed. "She has severe burns and has a long recovery ahead. Her team and her family are still trying to process what led up to the crash."
Following Heche's catastrophic car crash, which destroyed a home and left the actress with significant burns, there has been revived interest in her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres. Their relationship officially began in 1997 and continued till 2000. Although they first kept it a secret, they were romantically involved.
According to friends, their relationship unexpectedly ended despite appearing to be strong and being supported by discussions of getting married and starting a family together if Vermont's Civil Unions law passes. On August 18, 2000, the couple jointly announced that they were separating. The day after the breakup was revealed, Heche acted strangely.
Heche once left her SUV parked on the side of the road and walked 1.5 miles to a stranger's house. The stranger who had first let Heche inside her home became irritated and called the sheriff's office as she made no move to get back to her car.
Heche informed the authorities that she was "God" and was "going to take everyone back to heaven... in a spaceship" when they arrived, according to the stranger who spoke to People Magazine. She was then transported to the hospital and later released, but she struggled in the years that followed.
Heche and DeGeneres have been largely silent about their romance; DeGeneres said to the Los Angeles Times barely one year after their breakup, "She walked out the door and I haven't spoken to her since. I don't have the answers... I'm left with everybody else wondering what happened." Since Heche's fatal car crash, DeGeneres has been silent, but Heche's other former lovers, like James Tupper and Thomas Jane, have expressed their condolences.
