At the end of the high-profile trial's final day, Amber Heard's lawyer was allegedly seen making a hasty exit from the courtroom to cry in the restroom. A spectator in court said that Elaine Bredehoft grew upset before walking to the restroom and returned a short time later with the appearance of someone who had been sobbing.

It's unclear what caused Bredehoft to become upset. According to the claim, after six weeks of grueling evidence from Heard and her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, as well as countless other witnesses, the alleged breakdown occurred. A frequent court-goer, claimed on Twitter, “Late after trial before the jury went home, #ElaineBredehoft left for the bathroom crying. We all felt terrible for her. After she came out, we tried to make her smile. I hope it helped.”

He later commented it ‘must be hard for her to deal with all of this public attention.’ Later, he appeared on Andy Signore's YouTube show, Popcorned Planet elaborating on what he witnessed. He informed Andy Signore, the man behind the channel, that it was approximately 5 p.m., immediately before the jury decided to go home for the day. “Everyone had pretty much left, but there were a few people hanging around, just in case they had [reached] a verdict. Three of us were standing outside the bathroom when we saw her basically kind of not run, but go into the bathroom very quickly crying. And then one of them was going to go in after her, but another woman entered the bathroom, too,” he claimed.

Bredehoft appeared to have a ‘red nose’ as she exited the restroom, he said, as if she ‘had been blowing her nose or something.’ He claimed, “She seemed a little bit better, but … we noticed. It was very visible because she’s cried a couple of times in court as well which we’ve noticed. So we all had said something about it, like … we feel so bad for her. So after she came out, we all were like, ‘Hey, you’re doing a great job. It must be so hard. We understand. It’s not you,’ and stuff. She smiled and she said thank you and then went back into the courtroom.”

Depp sued Heard for $50 million for hinting in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed that he assaulted her. Despite the fact that she did not name him, he argues that her accusations are baseless and that they have cost him lucrative movie jobs. Heard had countersued, saying she was subjected to rampant physical violence and abuse at his hands and is seeking $100 million in damages. The jury, however, delivered their verdict in favor of Johnny Depp and asked Heard to give $15 million to Depp.
