'Shocked and saddened': Duane Chapman pays emotional tribute to former co-star David Robinson after his death
DENVER, COLORADO: 'Dog's Most Wanted' star Duane 'Dog The Bounty Hunter' Chapman paid an emotional tribute to his former co-star David Robinson, who passed away at 51 on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Robinson was apparently on a work Zoom call when he collapsed in his dining room and died in his wife's arms.
"I'm shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of David Robinson, my right-hand man of many years. Until we meet again, brother," Chapman, 69, told TMZ. Robinson's wife Brooke said in a statement, "David was very healthy and was on a work call in our dining room at home when he collapsed. Life-saving maneuvers were attempted and paramedics were called. David died in my arms. We ask again for time and space to grieve for the husband, father, brother and friend that was lost."

Brooke Robinson also denied that Robinson had suffered a "stroke or heart attack". "The rumors of a heart attack and stroke have already been ruled out," she wrote on Facebook.
Robinson's ex-wife Rainey was the first person to confirm the news to TMZ as she said David had some kind of medical emergency while he was on a Zoom call. She also appeared on the show which aired over one season while Dog's wife was battling cancer in 2019.
Police and paramedics reportedly performed CPR upon arrival but it was unsuccessful. The official cause of death has not yet been identified.
Robinson starred alongside Chapman in 'Dog's Most Wanted' which aired on WGN in 2019. The series was unique and different from other shows as it focused more on hunting fugitives rather than people who had jumped bail with his company. Robinson specialized in the "tech aspect of hunting. It is hard to unplug from technology these days and David will use that to find you!", according to his show profile.
In the one 10-episode season of the series, Dog not only juggled his career but also looked after his wife Beth Chapman who was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, after a long battle with throat cancer, Beth died at the age of 51 in Honolulu, Hawaii, in June 2019.
Besides the death of Robinson and Beth, Chapman also lost one of his daughters in an accident 16 years ago. Barbara Katie was one of Chapman's 12 children, and one of three he shared with his third wife Lyssa Rae Brittain. The 23-year-old was killed in a car accident in Fairbanks, Alaska, on May 19, 2006.
