'Doubling Down With the Derricos': Is Karen pregnant? Inside couple's tragic miscarriage
Taking care of kids is no easy feat. But for Karen and Deon, the stars of 'Doubling Down With the Derricos', they certainly make taking care of 14 kids looks easy. From homeschooling to outdoor activities, Karen and Deon are on top of their game when it comes to keeping their family up and running.
However, living comfortably with 14 children isn't easy either. On Season 3, Karen is trying to get the family to move to South Carolina to be closer to her family and get a bigger home. While Deon is on board, the couple struggles to convince GG, Deon's mother, to go with them. But it looks like they might need a bigger house now more than ever -- seeing that Karen suspects that she is pregnant with baby no 15!

Is Karen pregnant again?
Karen and Deon currently have 14 children together; Darian, 16; Derrick, 11; 10-year-old twins Dallas and Denver; 8-year-old quintuplets Deonee, Daician, Daiten, Deniko, and Dariz; 4-year-olds Diez and Dior; and 2-year-old triplets Dawsyn, De'Aren, and Dyver.
As per the recent preview, it looks like Karen might be pregnant again this season. While she does mention it, it seems like there is no clear indication if she is pregnant or not and could be just a false alarm. Interestingly enough, her Instagram bio (as well as Deon's) mentions that they are parents to 15 children.
While this makes it seem like baby no 15 is on the way, it could also be a tribute to their late son, Carter, Diez and Dior's brother, as the three of them were triplets. Baby Carter was born premature and passed away two hours after being born. The family still refers to Diez and Dior as the 'triplins' even though their brother is no more.
A look at her tragic miscarriages
While all the Derrico kids are healthy, including Diez, who recovered from his cranial reconstruction surgery, Karen has had a total of three miscarriages, the latest one being in late 2020. The couple spoke about their heartbreaking journey back on Season 2, when she found out that they lost the baby. "Even though we aren't strangers to miscarriages, it's still a tough heartbreak to endure! Our hearts are broken and pieces of it go out to others that have endured this pain," the couple later said, while talking to People.
"However, we must continue to thank God for our children and many other blessings that we have, and in addition, we stay prayed up!" they added.
Season 3 of 'Doubling Down With the Derricos' airs on TLC at 10 pm ET on Tuesdays.
