Donald Trump's team has come under fire for allegedly ripping off an old Apple ad. His adviser Dan Scavino reportedly used it to promote him as a "trailblazing, eyebrow-raising, status-quo-breaking" leader hours before Joe Biden's primetime address. The tweet had reached a little over 10K likes when it was taken down.

However, The Recount, a media outlet, was kind enough to share a frame-to-frame comparison of both ads. The resemblance is uncanny and shocking, to say the least. The Apple ad is a montage of still photos and impactful videos, which was exactly how Trump's clip went as well. The voiceover was also kept the same in the "copied" video.

The original ad was released as part of Apple's 'Behind the Mac' campaign. It features an all-star line-up of A-listers and cultural figures putting in the work on their machines. Musicians Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish as well as entertainers such as Steven Colbert and  “Me Too” founder Tarana Burke, primatologist Jane Goodall and editor Gloria Steinem go about their schedule.

The voiceover plays: "There’s a certain kind of person who doesn’t take no for an answer. They don’t walk in quietly. They parade in, trailblazing, eyebrow-raising, status quo-breaking, grazing greatness, braving hatred, and taking up space. Never got a set at the table so we can’t sit and behave. We’d rather defy the rules and amaze. There’s a certain kind of person who doesn’t wait for greatness. They make it."

"Trump adviser Dan Scavino tweeted a video worshiping the former president that ripped the audio from a 2020 Apple ad. We thought we’d compare the two," the outlet wrote in its tweet, which triggered quite a few responses. The tech giant and Trump's representatives are yet to comment on the matter.

While they take their time, the social media trial has begun and Trump may not like it so much because most are rooting for Apple to sue him over "copyright infringement". However, some even pointed out that it could very well stop at just a cease and desist letter from the company.

"I hope @Apple protects their brand and sues him. After all, it’s what the cult leader former guy would do," a user pointed out while another shared: "That's just asking for a lawsuit, but tbh, they're probably going to get a cease and desist letter and they'll take it down. Not surprised since they/ve been doing this with music for years and years and gotten away with it, minimal consequences."

"1) its really really sad that he has to rip off the ad from one of the most liberal of the Big Tech companies - 2) apple should just sue - 'Just Do It' - maybe Nike will join the suit," a user posted. "Not sure they think much; so it's okay to rip audio off another brand as it appeals to them, 'cause they can't think enough to build one all by themselves. Okay," another commented.
