Fans of former President Donald Trump are apparently missing him a lot after he was banned by social media giants following the January 6 melee at the US Capitol. One supporter, for instance, wanted to ensure Trump did not feel unloved on February 14, Valentine's Day.

A number of Floridians reportedly spotted a plane flying over Mar-a-Lago on February 14 with the message, "We love you Prez Trump. Happy Valentine's Day. MP" A report by CBS12 News later confirmed that a woman from Texas had spent more than $1,000 to deliver that message to her favorite President. Speaking to the outlet, Marie, of San Antonio, said she wanted to "remind Trump that he is loved."

While Marie says she has been a supporter of Trump for the longest time, there's no word if he actually saw the message, albeit he did spend part of his day golfing, per CBS12. His eldest son, Don Jr., however, spotted the plane and appreciated the gesture on Twitter.

Meanwhile, a number of observers who saw the message also took to social media to share their reactions. "I saw a plane above the ocean today in Pompano, flag flying "WE LOVE YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY"! Beautiful!" one observer tweeted. "I’m at the beach and I just saw a banner plane wishing Trump a Valentine’s Day I cannnnot make this up," another added. "'We love you Donald Trump happy Valentine’s Day' plane flies past ft Lauderdale - beach erupts. #Trump2024," a third chimed in.

Trump supporters are definitely feeling a disconnect with the former President since he was purged from mainstream social media platforms, especially Twitter and Facebook. The 45th POTUS was known to use social media to his advantage, effectively communicating with his voter base while bypassing traditional communication channels.

MEAWW previously reported how the news of Trump's Twitter suspension on January 8, 2021, came as a huge shock and led to much controversy on the micro-blogging platform. At the time, Trump turned to his official POTUS account and railed against Twitter. He declared that Twitter was not a network for "free speech" and hinted he was in talks to set up his own social media platform following the suspension. He urged his followers to 'STAY TUNED!' and claimed that Twitter was working with 'Radical Left and Dems' to silence him and to silence those who voted for him.

In a final thread, Trump issued a press statement that was about the length of four of his usual tweets. “As I have been saying for a long time, Twitter has gone further and further in banning free speech, and tonight, Twitter employees have coordinated with the Democrats and the Radical Left in removing my account from their platform, to silence me — and YOU, the 75,000,000 great patriots who voted for me. Twitter may be a private company, but without the government’s gift of Section 230, they would not exist for long," Trump alleged.

“I predicted this would happen. We have been negotiating with various other sites, and will have a big announcement soon, while we also look at the possibilities of building out our own platform in the near future. We will not be SILENCED!" he continued, adding: “Twitter is not about FREE SPEECH. They are all about promoting a Radical Left platform where some of the most vicious people in the world are allowed to speak freely."

After Trump was censored, several Republican lawmakers slammed decisions made by social media giants as attempts to stifle conservative voices and further polarize the country. “We’re now living in a country where four or five companies — unelected, unaccountable — have the power, a monopoly power to decide, we’re going to wipe people out, we’re going to just erase them from any sort of digital platform,” Senator Marco Rubio told Fox News last month.
