Trump is mad over Twitter ban as he writes insults for Liz Cheney and others, hopes aides will post them
Former president Donald Trump is still upset about his permanent suspension from Twitter and he reportedly writes out insults for his allies to post on social media. According to reports, his insults targeted House Representative Liz Cheney ahead of the vote by Republicans to keep her post in the House GOP leadership after she supported Trump's second impeachment.
According to The Daily Beast, the former president wrote out insults and observations — several of them about Cheney — and with no ability to tweet them out himself, Trump has suggested put-downs for allies to use or post on their own Twitter account, according to a source who spoke to the publication. On Wednesday, February 3, House Republicans voted to keep Cheney in her leadership post after some Republicans argued that Cheney should be removed from leadership following her support of the second impeachment of Trump for inciting an insurrection at the Capitol. 145 members voted in support of Cheney to keep her as the House Republican Conference chair, while 61 voted to remove her and one member voted present, according to CNN.

According to The Daily Beast, Trump grumbled about Cheney being "totally phony", and as someone who "did whatever she could to embrace him when it was politically convenient, but then moved to bury him" following the deadly failed insurrection attempt at the US Capitol on January 6, during which five people died, including one Capitol police officer.
Two sources spoke to the publication, who said that Trump has been working behind the scenes from Mar-a-Lago after leaving the White House and added how he has "marveled" about how Cheney "has no friends" anymore because liberals do not like her and that she has antagonized Trump supporters following her decision to vote for the impeachment.
He also made it clear to key allies that they cannot let her "get away with" this and that he wants to sink her political future. Trump is also delighted that a new poll showed that 73 per cent of Republican voters in Wyoming have an unfavorable opinion of her following her impeachment vote. The polling was done for Trump's Save America PAC and senior Trump advisor Jason Miller by John McLaughlin, one of Trump's top 2016 and 2020 campaign pollsters.
Miller told The Daily Beast that Cheney no longer had any "political pulse". He told the publication, "It is notable that the Cheney camp hasn’t put out any numbers to refute what was found in the McLaughlin polling.”
According to The Daily Mail, Trump last tweeted about Cheney in July 2020, when she voiced support for Anthony Fauci and backed a primary challenger for Representative Thomas Massie. He also retweeted Representative Matt Gaetz, who said that Cheney was working behind the scenes against Trump, writing, "Liz Cheney has worked behind the scenes (and now in public) against @realDonaldTrump and his agenda. House Republicans deserve better as our Conference Chair. Liz Cheney should step down or be removed. #MAGA."

Gaetz had also traveled to Wyoming to speak against her and led the charge against Cheney, at a rally in Cheyenne. Gaetz said at the rally, "We are in a battle for the soul of the Republican Party, and I intend to win it."
