SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: Don Diamont, who portrayed Bill Spencer Jr on 'The Bold and the Beautiful' and Brad Carlton on 'The Young and the Restless', turned 60 on December 30. Diamont has been married twice and is the father of seven children.

Diamont and his now-ex-wife Rachel Braun welcomed four sons when Diamont was a cast member of 'Young & Restless'. The couple was married from 1994 to 2002 and had four children: Alexander, Sasha, Lauren, and Luca. Don later appeared in 'The Bold & The Beautiful' in 2009 after leaving the serial drama. He also married actress Cindy Ambuehl in the Chateau de la Chevre d' in Enze, France, while he was still on the show. In January 2003, he and his wife welcomed twin sons Anton and Davis into their household.

Don also stepped up by taking on the responsibility of raising Drew Mazur after his sister Bette died. He now thinks of his nephew as a son. The actor posted a joyful family portrait of his seven adult children on Instagram on Father's Day in June 2016. "Happy Father's Day," he wrote in the caption.

Diamont had openly discussed his desire to become a father in his biography, 'My Seven Sons and How We Raised Each Other'. The soap opera star also spoke about his grief after losing his father and older brother unexpectedly. In a 2018 interview, Diamont said he had hoped they would live long enough "to meet my wife, my children, and to share experiences. That was just gone almost in the blink of an eye. Those scars remain."

As per AmoMama, the father of seven previously said that he was eager to start a family and that, to make up for what had been lost, he was particularly eager to be a father to a boy: "I wanted children. I candidly write in the book that I wanted to have sons. I wanted back what was taken from me. I wanted to recreate that."

In addition to his biological sons, his ex-wife Braun has two other boys, Lauren and Sasha, who are technically Diamont's stepsons but who Braun prefers to refer to as his own sons. Diamont claimed that when he and Braun split, he assured the boys he will still be a part of their lives. "I will always be there for them. I'm here, and I'll always be here," he said.

Diamont saw himself as a typical father, raising his children in a humble home. "I'm just another dad," he said. Diamont said that he and his wife tend to spend most of their free time indoors with their children. "My wife and I, we’re homebodies. Working in daytime has allowed me to have a very normal, more or less 9-to-5 kind of life," he said in an interview with SoapHub.
