SOUTH FLORIDA, FLORIDA: A dog trainer has issued a public advisory regarding dogs, especially keeping in mind the first-time pet parents. Garret Wing took to his YouTube channel, American Standard Dog Training, where he spoke of three dog breeds that are not ideal to be petted in a normal household.

The first breed that Wing mentioned was the Tibetan Mastiff, dubbing it “a monster of a dog that is capable of killing an entire pack of wolves.” He also noted that this type of dog is “very stubborn and difficult to train,” as he stated, “Beautiful animals. Probably not for you,” The Sun reported.

‘It’s a complete lifestyle changer'

Another dog Wing brought up was the Great Dane. He shared, “Now those are really sweet dogs and they can make amazing pets, however, the problem is, it's a complete lifestyle changer. You have to basically rearrange our whole house even when it comes to getting a crate, and taking them places, and where's your coffee table and where are you going to put your cup?”

The third breed on Wing’s list was the Cane Corso. He reportedly added, “That is too much dog for about 99.9 percent of folks and that's coming from us, not only as professional dog trainers but owners of the Cane Corso. They are absolutely battle tanks, and you don't need that in your suburban neighborhood.”

‘Obedience is key for any dog’

However, not everyone appeared to agree with Wing as a person commented below his YouTube video, “My cane corso is probably the sweetest dog I’ve ever seen.” The second one wrote, “I own a Cane Corso and he is the sweetest dog I’ve ever owned...Obedience is key for any dog don’t matter What breed…” The third one said, “A single Tibetan mastiff can KILL a PACK of wolves? No sir, not unless they are all puppies.”

“Our Great Dane is absolutely perfect for my family with four kids. They adore her and it couldn’t be better,” a social media user shared. Sharing a personal story, another user stated, “I'm 23 Italian and my parents decided to get a Cane Corso because it's one of my dad's favorites. We had him for around 9 years and he passed away just over a couple years ago so I had him in our garden for my teen years. I loved him to bits even if he was a handful sometimes. I never could bring him for a walk since he was very high energy and clearly over the breed standards (at his prime was about 70kg so 150lbs and always extremely tall, standing on his legs and resting his front paws on a my 6'1" dad's shoulders he towered him a lot)."

“The thing about our old dog is that he was an absolute tank and an incredible watchdog for our home, at night he noticed if people goy o close to our fence and you'd see this immense dark brown dog coming out of the bushes with a very deep and loud bark. I loved him a lot and I had a special relationship with him because to me he was a XXXL puppy who loved cuddles and attention. He would always respect me when I said stop as soon as I noticed he would get too Jumpy. Anyways, RIP Nerone, I miss touching your cheeks and biooping your snout.” The user continued.

“My family and I have a Cane Corso and she is lovely. Super sweet, loves to play with us or even with the cat. I actually recommend for people who atleast have a pretty large garden, she loves to run,” a comment read.
