Will Wong die in 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'?
One of the MCU characters who has become a fan favorite over the years is Wong (Benedict Wong) who first appeared in 'Doctor Strange' and is now set to reprise his role in 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'. He has appeared in 'Avengers: Infinity War', 'Avengers: Endgame', 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings', and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'. However, with the sequel coming up, it does appear that this would be the last time we would be seeing the key character.
For starters, there have been theories that Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) will be one of the unexpected villains in the film and Wong is one of the victims. It's a tough pill to swallow if this were to be true, but a closer look at the trailer shows a badly wounded Wong surrounded by scarlet energy that looks pretty much like what Wanda can conjure up. Per Bam!Smack!Pow, a theory from journo Matt Ramos suggests that Wanda killing Wong is more of a statement that she's someone that can't be trifled with.

Olsen is set to return as Maximoff, and last seen, she was still dealing with the trauma of losing her two sons and not to forget, still struggling to come to terms with the death of Vision (Paul Bettany). She was last seen studying the Darkhold and hearing voices of her twin calling out for her, the general theory among fans seems to be that Wanda is heading down a deeper and darker path than she took in 'WandaVision'. While much of this, including the death of Wong still a bunch of speculations, there's no ruling out the fact that one of the key characters may end up dying.
The official synopsis of the movie reads, "To restore a world where everything is changing, Strange seeks help from his ally Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, and the Avengers' most powerful Scarlet Witch, Wanda. But a terrible threat looms over humanity and the entire universe that no longer can be done by their power alone. Even more surprising, the greatest threat in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange."
'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' releases May 6 in cinemas.
