Dr Atul Gawande, while making an appearance on 'The View' on Tuesday, October 6, diagnosed President Donald Trump with "classic steroid euphoria". Dr Gawande called out Trump for his "reckless and dangerous message" after he had returned to the White House from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Trump, who tested positive for Covid-19 recently, was seen immediately removing his face mask upon his return to the White House despite being contagious, Fox News reports.

"He is still contagious. He's in the midst of being actively infected. He is walking in the White House continuing to question and belittle mask use and that is not the message that we need to send, especially as we have the infection rates continuing to climb," Dr Gawande added. The host of 'The View', Joy Behar, pointed out to Trump's claims which stated that he hasn't "felt this good in 20 years" and also drew attention to the medication that the POTUS has been taking which includes a steroid that she speculates could be affecting his behavior.

Behar said, "Some say that that can cause you to feel really great and grandiose. Are we witnessing an episode right here where he thinks he's capable of doing anything- you know, 'I'm macho and I can do anything' and are you worried about that particular form of behavior in the president of the United States, the leader of the free world?"

In response to this, Dr Gawande had said, "When I saw the tweet, I had to chuckle. It's such classic steroid euphoria, as we call it, as a known side effect of getting high-dose steroids is that you feel incredibly good suddenly for a period of time. And yes, that is part of the picture that you're seeing when he describes that." He also spoke about how he was very alarmed at Trump's joyride around Walter Reed where he decided to wave to supporters from his motorcade.

We had earlier reported that Trump's series of manic tweets and joyride was also a cause of concern for the first family, including Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr. Sources have revealed that the POTUS' son is very upset about what his father did at the medical facility. Trump had wanted to drive around Walter Reed with the secret service while being infected with Covid-19. According to Vanity Fair, a source shared, "Don Jr thinks Trump is acting crazy." The stunt also left medical experts shocked and outraged.

Sources shared that Don Jr told friends how he had tried lobbying Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, and Jared Kushner to convince the president that he needs to stop acting unstable. "Don Jr has said he wants to stage an intervention, but Jared and Ivanka keep telling Trump how great he’s doing," an insider revealed. It is also reported that Don Jr is hesitant to confront his father on his own. The source continued, "Don said, ‘I’m not going to be the only one to tell him he’s acting crazy.'" Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, had tested positive for Covid-19 last week. Trump himself had taken to Twitter to announce the news of his health.
