Much before undertaking their massive and ambitious project of renovating an old, dilapidated hotel in the Bahamas into the luxury hotspot- Caerula Mar Club on HGTV hit show 'Renovation Island', the Baeumlers took on another equally stressful and anxiety-inducing project- building their own lake house in Georgian Bay. Bryan Baeumler always dreamt of having his own lake house, so when an opportunity to buy a piece of land on the Georgian Bay came up he didn't wait to seize it.

With their family growing in size, thanks to the addition of their fourth child- baby Lincoln, Bryan felt that it was only right to have a lake house that they could escape to whenever they felt like it. Unfortunately, the land that he purchased happened to be very close to his parent's cottage in the area. This caused some tension between Bryan and his wife Sarah Baeumler which was documented on their new show 'Renovation, Inc.: The Lake House'. The couple eventually put their differences aside and began working on constructing their dream lake house ground up.

Do Bryan and Sarah Baeumler still own the lake house?

Season 2 of 'Renovation, Inc.' will focus on Bryan and Sarah working hard to finish the construction of their lake house. If you begin feeling a sense of deja vu while watching the show as the couple get into several fights, and they race against time to complete their dream project, then you wouldn't be wrong as 'Renovation Island' too had similar elements to it.

The good news though is that Bryan and Sarah successfully managed to complete their dream project and things worked out just fine for them! So if you're wondering if Bryan and Sarah still own their dream lake house and are curious to know about the details of the lake house then we got you covered. But before we get into the current ownership status of the lake house, let's take a look at the amazing features of the lake house property.

The stunning, contemporary-style cottage boasts a 110-foot span of floor-to-ceiling wood-framed glass windows and doors across the front of the cottage and an extensive deck to enjoy the sunsets. The cottage-wide, glass railing deck is possibly one of the largest of its kind on Georgian Bay, reported Parry Sound. The lake house also has three separate living ‘pods’ house the children’s bedrooms, master bedroom with ensuite, and a common area composed of the kitchen, great room and dining area.

“Since I was 10 years old, we’ve been coming up here to my parents’ cottage. My parents’ property actually encircles our cottage’s lot. When I was a kid, we used to go over to this property and sit on the rocks, hunt snakes and go to the beaver ponds behind it on my parents’ property. I’d say, ‘One day when I grow up, this would be the perfect spot to build a cottage.’ One day finally came. A man had a hunt camp here and started to build a place. Unfortunately, he passed away and his son owned it. I went to him some years later and asked if he wanted to make a deal. Initially, he said no. Then, he called me back and I made him an offer he couldn’t refuse,” explained Bryan to the outlet.

So do the Baeumlers still own the lakehouse? Well, it might come as a surprise to many to know that the dreamy lake house has been listed for sale at $1,850,000 with Gary Phillips of The Phillips Team Cottage Real Estate, ReMax Parry Sound-Muskoka Realty Ltd., Brokerage in 2017. We couldn't find any details on whether the lake house is still on the market or not. But it appears like the Baeumlers are very keen on selling off their property, as they are currently busy shuttling between the Bahamas and Florida. "Sarah and I sat down and talked about it. It’s a shame to have such a beautiful place not used and enjoyed. Last year, I think I only got up there seven or eight nights. With my parents getting older, we decided to help out. We bought the family cottage so that my two brothers and their families can enjoy it and we’ll still have a place when we want to come up to the Bay. The cottage we built is such a beautiful place. It deserves a family with kids who will just love it," Bryan shared the reasoning behind the big decision to sell off their property.
