'Dirty Little Secret': 5 things you didn't know about Melissa Joan Hart
Inspired by true events, Lifetime’s 'Dirty Little Secret' is based on the book of the same name written by C J Omololu. The movie is directed by Linda-Lisa Hayter and written by Doris Egan, Nancey Silvers, and Annie Frisbie. Linda Berman serves as an executive producer, with Navid Soofi serving as a producer.
The movie follows Joanna, an outwardly highly functioning nurse with a hoarding disorder. Joanna’s 17-year-old daughter, Lucy has been painfully isolated from her peers for years, refusing to let anyone near her house in order to hide her family secret. But when tragedy strikes, Lucy must decide if she will hide her mother’s secret, or expose it to the world. Melissa Joan Hart stars as a mother hiding her extreme hoarding tendencies that are destroying her family. Additionally, Hart will star in and executive produce new movies for Lifetime’s 2022 and 2023 Christmas slates. Hart will also direct one movie for Lifetime as part of her new agreement. Melissa Joan Hart as Joanna
Born in New York, Melissa began her career at a young age and regularly appeared in commercials. Hart attended New York University. However, she dropped out after she earned the title role for the 1996 TV film 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch'. She also appeared in other sitcoms 'Clarissa Explains It All' (1991–1994), 'Melissa & Joey' (2010–2015), and also in 'No Good Nick' (2019). She has also appeared in films such as 'Drive Me Crazy' (1999), 'Nine Dead' (2009), and 'God's Not Dead 2' (2016). Hart also recorded two albums for 'Clarissa Explains It All': 'This Is What 'Na Na' Means' and a recording of 'Peter and the Wolf'.
She is also a director and made her directorial debut in an episode of Disney Channel's 'So Weird' called 'Snapshot' which guest-starred her sister Emily. Hart directed her first movie, a 15-minute live-action short film called 'Mute' (2005), starring her sister Emily. She also competed in season nine of 'Dancing with the Stars' and was paired up with two-time reigning champion, Mark Ballas. She was eliminated from the competition in week six out of a possible ten. In 2015, Hart and her husband started their own fashion line called King of Harts.

Lizzie Boys is a Canadian actress who made her acting debut with the 2011 short film 'Carnation Inn'. She became popular for her role as Cassandra Garner on the Hallmark Channel series 'When Calls the Heart'. She has since appeared in series like 'The 100', 'iZombie', 'Motive', 'Angels in the Snow' and 'A Wife's Suspicion'. She has also appeared in movies such as 'Firefly Lane' (2021), 'Nancy Drew' (2019), 'Dead Shack' (2017) and 'My Mom Made Me Do it' (2022). In 2015, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award.
'Dirty Little Secret' will premiere on Saturday, June 11 at 8/7c on Lifetime.
