UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Carson Daly wasted no time, bringing out the nine semi-finalists on Tuesday, May 14 broadcast of 'The Voice' Season 25 for a round of questions and to reveal which artists advanced to next week's finale.

As fans will recall, Tae Lewis faced another nerve-wracking moment, having to sing once more for the Instant Save after landing at the bottom of the barrel yet again! The five performers who did not automatically advance to the finals showcased their talents live for an immediate save. Tae performed Hunter Hayes' "Wanted" for his Instant Save performance.

Tae found himself in the bottom four last week but managed to secure victory with the Instant Save, enabling him to progress in the competition. On X, fans were taken aback when Tae again ended up at the bottom of the ranking.

One fan wrote, "All the country fans watching this show and somehow Tae is in the bottom 2 weeks in a row. .He's not even my top 3 but I'm still side eyeing this." While another fan said, "i’m torn because this wasn’t tae’s best performance…"

Soon after his Tuesday performance, one fan said, "Yeah, Tae is going home." Another fan guessed, "Tae needs help on this one too."

Some fans feared Tae wouldn't make it to the finale as they wrote, "Fingers crossed for Tae!!"

On Reddit, one worried fan wrote, "I hate to say it, but Tae's gonna win again because of the country vote. I love tae, but 3 country artists would be horrid."

Carson presented Bryan Olesen as the fifth finalist, as decided by tonight's audience after the voting window closed. Following this announcement, the artists had the opportunity to express their gratitude to their mentors and bid farewell. Unfortunately, this marked the end of Tae's 'The Voice' journey.

Tae Lewis won Instant Save to move to the semi-final of 'The Voice' Season 25

Tae earned the Instant Save on 'The Voice' last week, giving new coaches Dan + Shay an advantage heading into the semifinals. The 31-year-old singer from Goldsboro, North Carolina, found himself in the bottom four after the Top 12 performances on May 6, facing elimination alongside L Rodgers, Nadège Moss, and Zoe Levert.

Tae took the stage as the final performer during the Instant Save, delivering a rendition of Shenandoah's 'The Church on Cumberland Road'. Carson gathered Tae, L from Baltimore, Zoe from New Orleans, and Nadege from Wellington, Florida, on stage as the five-minute voting session began. Carson revealed that Tae had successfully secured a spot in the semifinals as one of the top nine contestants.

Who is Tae Lewis in 'The Voice' Season 25?

Tae has faced hardships in the past. He decided to reject his gospel background and pursue his aspirations in Country music, determined to carve out success in unfamiliar territory.

Tae claims that being a Black country musician led to consistent rejection when seeking concert opportunities. He briefly experienced homelessness and spent six months living out of his car. 

As Tae became involved with the Black Opry and began to solidify his presence, his fortunes took a turn. He became well-known after making appearances on CMT and getting cast on 'Shameless'.

Tae's passion for retro-rural style has helped him succeed as a shoe stylist as well. He has undoubtedly expanded his collection of cowboy boots while selling hundreds of them. 

Tae, whose family were pastors, started listening to religious music but soon discovered a strong affinity for country music. He wants to show his father how successful he is and impress him.

'The Voice' Season 25 airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on NBC.
