Meri disclosed the alleged assault by Janelle to the catfish in the book, stating, "She told me that in one particularly intense argument while she was pregnant with her daughter, her sister wife grabbed her by the shoulders and kneed her right where the baby was."
The book further claims about Meri, "She said it angered her so much and worried her that she did not want to see or talk to that sister wife for months. And she didn’t."
Following the incident, it was reported that Meri maintained a distance from Janelle. Despite informing Kody about the incident, he appears to have taken no action in response to the situation.
