SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA: Yes, Jack Blocker did receive the golden ticket, but there was a significant disagreement among the judges before they reached a decision. 'American Idol' Season 22 contestant Jack would have been eliminated if the decision had been left to Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Thankfully, Luke Bryan saved the singer, bringing him back.
Fans were left fuming after seeing the judges say no to the singer. Katy said to Jack, "For 'American Idol,' I'm a 'No,' but for your artistry, 'Yes.'" Lionel agreed with Katy's decision, stating, "It's gonna have to be a 'no' for me."
Luke was left disheartened as he wanted Jack to move ahead in the show. Expressing his disappointment, Luke said to his fellow judges, "I saw something in that boy; you'll let him go." Luke then asked the crew, "Can we get him back?" Katy interfered, saying, "It's too much."
The judges then conducted a "crew vote," and most of them agreed that Jack was worth advancing in the show. Thankfully, Jack was given the chance to go to Hollywood Week Seeing judges say no despite the singer having a good voice, a fan commented, "How was that a no? That was great!
