'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 5: Fans go crazy with Marie Antoinette, guillotine and of course, CAKE

Every week, without fail, 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' keeps finding new heights of ridiculousness and things have never been wackier on the show than in the Season 5 episode 'A Head of Her Time'. With the team heading into the past to take on a newly-resurrected Marie Antoinette (Courtney Ford), there's hilarity waiting in every bite of this delicious episode and the fans are absolutely loving it. The fact that there are boatloads of cake involved is just some icing.
"They had Marie Antoinette use a guillotine to cut a cake," a fan wrote on Twitter. "I say it all the time, but it bears repeating. I love this show so much."
Another fan tweeted: "'Be careful. I think Marie's about to make her move.' 'Let them eat cake.' What a dastardly plan."
Some of the fans were legitimately confused by the extreme indulgence shown in the episode, with one fan tweeting, "I love cake as much as anyone but what the hell is going on?"
While the cakes may have been a bit weird, it seems all the fans agree that seeing Courtney Ford, who usually plays Nora Darhk on the show, portraying the cake-loving French queen was easily the best part of 'A Head of Her Time'.
"As someone who is super picky about desserts and really doesn't like cake," one of the fans tweeted: "This scene makes no sense but Courtney yelling "LET THEM EAT CAKE" was amazing."
"@_CourtneyFord_ as Marie Antoinette is PERFECT," another fan wrote while yet another chimed in saying, "Courtney Ford is out here living her best life!"
Of course, some fans would like to know why Marie Antoinette and Nora Darhk look exactly alike. "Is she supposed to be an ancestor or something?" One of the fans tweeted. "I mean, that also means she could be related to Damien Darkh, which... *shudders*."
We would definitely like an explanation as well but then again, this is 'Legends of Tomorrow' after all and that's the only real explanation the show needs for anything.
