HAMILTON, MISSISSIPPI: In a shocking video, a Mississippi daycare worker was seen donning a Halloween mask, and chasing and scaring "misbehaving" children. The footage released from inside The Lil' Blessing childcare shows terrified children screaming and trying to hide their faces out of fear, as the worker CeeCee scares them wearing a mask from the movie 'Scream'. She was scaring children who were "bad" for not cleaning up properly

CeeCee was fired after the video went viral. She has since apologized and said in a video, "It wasn't meant to harm anybody and it wasn't ill-intentioned." She alleges the "teachers asked her to do it in an attempt to get the class to listen or clean up." She said, "I'm not a child abuser." CeeCee has worked at the daycare center for almost four years, since she was 16, and said all the teachers knew her plan but the school's owner did not.

In the video, CeCee can be seen wearing the mask and and screaming at the distraught children. She was also seen touching the children as they continue to scream and tried to move her hand away. In one part, she could be seen chasing the children who fled in sheer terror. In another clip, one of the daycare teachers could be seen telling CeeCee to scare other children and pointing out that the other bunch of children were not misbehaving. The anonymous owner of the Daycare spoke to WTVA 9 and said that she fired all four employees and were seeking their own legal counsel as they were not present during the time of the incident.

CeeCee explained in her 19-minute apology video that she bought the mask to scare her co-worker. She said, "What you all didn't see was after I had left the room, I took it off and I went back into the classroom, and I said 'CeeCee got the monster. It's not coming back.' And they would hug me. I have known those kids their whole life." She added, "They knew it was me, and they had the reaction they did cause they're children and that's it." Shortly after the video went viral, parents starting pulling their kids out of the facility.

“We thought we knew these people, we’re from here. I cannot communicate the words how I feel. I’m devastated for my baby,” said Alissa Hays, whose daughter could be seen wailing as she was being scared. One of the mothers, whose son goes to the same daycare, asked people to stop bullying CeeCee. Ashley Woods wrote on Facebook, "There will be consequences but it’s not our place to judge anyone or even make someone feel so alone and down. Was it wrong YES. I’m not saying it’s not and she knows that’s - and is what she is trying to get thru to everyone she is truly sorry."

Meanwhile, the police has stepped in. Monroe County police were probing the whole affair after residents complained about it. "The Monroe County, MS Sheriff's Department is aware of video from the daycare in Hamilton and is working with the county prosecutor to see if there is any possible criminal charges that can be filed," a Facebook post by the officials said.
