'Dancing with The Stars' Season 31: Fans ‘excited’ over rumored cast for iconic dance show

Ahead of series premiere, avid fans are feeling thrilled for possible cast names

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans' excitement level is really high right now. It’s that time of the year when audiences and global fandoms would get to experience the magical world of dance as the most iconic dance reality show ‘Dancing with The Stars’ is making a comeback for its brand new season. But this time, there’s a huge change since it is leaving the ABC channel and coming on Disney +. The series premieres globally on September 19, 2022, at 5 PM ET.

Interestingly, DWTS will let go of its usual ad breaks and stream commercial-free on the platform for Season 31. This is a huge change for the series since usually the dancers and crew take advantage of the breaks for outfit changes, staging, and much more. Speaking about who could possibly be the contestants for this season which would be airing digitally on the global streamer, many names have been floating in rumors mills strongly. These names have also been discussed on Twitter which has made fans give in their opinions to same.

A Twitter page named ‘DWTS report’ dropped the news of the eight possible names which could be joining the series. They posted the scoop on September 5. Their tweet caption read, “We have our 8th celebrity for the cast of Season 31 of #DWTS ! Actor Trevor Donovan will join the show. He will be partnered with Emma Slater making the 5th pairing. What do you think of Emma’s 14th partner?”.

Many fans started reacting to the same and turned it into a tweet fest. They expressed their excitement for the rumored cast list in the series.

“So excited for @TrevDon!! Love @EmmaSlaterDance #DonoFANS #DWTS,” said a fan. “I fell in love with Trevor when he did the 90210 reboots in the late 2000s. This is an amazing shot for him!,” a fan noted. “CURTIS STONE!!!!!!,” said another fan. “There's also the lingering, very likely possibility of an additional female pro being brought in to replace Sharna. My best guess is that Katya will get bumped up from the troupe, a la Lindsay in S21, as she already has experience as a pro on the Georgian version of the show,” shared a fan. “Good call! Didn't peg Charli for a "chunky platform sneakers" kind of girl. Those are some pretty big shoes, they remind me of the ones worn by the kids in Digimon,” a fan mentioned. “If it's Charli that's almost kind of an unfair competitor because she is a trained dancer! Jojo was too but I feel like Charli is a little more advanced then JoJo is.  Im still going to watch because she will be so good but its still not fair lol,” mentioned a fan.

The esteemed panel of judges this season includes Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli with Derek Hough. Interestingly, this season’s professionals would comprise Cheryl Burke, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Brandon Armstrong, Daniella Karagach, and Pasha Pashkov. The rest of the names haven’t been revealed yet by the makers which have only piqued the fans' curiosity as well.
