'No crime committed here': Curtis Arnold arrested over video of Nicola Bulley's dead body slams cops, says handcuffs left 'marks' in Youtube rant
INSKIP, LANCASHIRE: Curtis Arnold, a self-proclaimed, 'TikTok detective' who was arrested for filming Nicola Bulley's body being pulled out of the river, claimed he has committed no crime in a YouTube rant. Bulley's body was found on February 19, 2023, days after she went missing while walking her dog. Arnold, who uploaded the disturbing video on YouTube and TikTok was heavily criticized for the video which garnered a million views and earned him almost $1,195.09 in royalties (£1,000)
However, Arnold was arrested on suspicion of malicious communication offenses and was accused of duping police. He was bailed in June and his bail conditions prohibited him from sharing online content about the case or publicly discussing it. He is also restricted from entering Lancashire. In his new video, the YouTuber ranted about his arrested and complained about the Lancashire Constabulary without naming the officer.

'I didn't post the video to cause harm'
"My arrest over...Lancashire police prove their point and ban me from Lancashire and...from uploading or speaking about her case," he spoke on his 'Curtis Media' Youtube channel. "Even though I am talking about my case and my arrest over a video I have got to be very careful that I don't talk about that case," according to Daily Mail. The 45-year-old explained the police arrested him from his grandparent's home and during which he was heavily handled.
Arnold's arrest relates to footage taken on February 19 from inside a police cordon close to the River Wyre in Lancashire and posted online. It was the day that 45-year-old mother-of-two Nicola Bulley's body was found by dog walkers in reeds and retrieved by officers. He complains, "I still have marks on my hands now from the handcuffs. That's how tight they put them on. My nan is now a nervous wreck. She hasn't been sleeping over it. There was no need to arrest like that. They could have just knocked the door. They could have even just phoned me and I would have gone in for a voluntary interview, no problem."
Arnold added, "Essentially guys, I didn't post the video to cause harm or stress. I just posted it for my media channel as everybody knows. I think everybody knows that there's no crime been committed here and I think everybody is aware why the police have done this to me. They have basically made it so that I can't go there and I can't do videos on the case anymore. That is what the locals wanted and that is what they have got. They have made an offense fit. My solicitor said it doesn't fit but obviously they've made it fit and I'm on bail for three months and that is just the way it is."
'Our priority is to support Nicola's family'
Furthermore, a police spokesperson while discussing Arnold's arrest said, "The man was held on Wednesday morning with assistance from West Mercia Police and has since been released on bail with conditions. Our priority is and has always been, to support Nicola's family and the wider community in St Michael's. We hope this arrest provides reassurance that we take concerns seriously and will act on them."
