Angela Celentano: Turkey sighting leads to frantic search for 'Italian Madeleine McCann' who vanished during family picnic 27 years ago
NAPLES, ITALY: A chilling case of a young girl who had mysteriously disappeared has seen a bombshell revelation after three decades. Angela Celentano famously described as the "Italian Madeleine Mccann" went missing during a family picnic in Naples on August 10, 1996. Despite her parents' multiple efforts to track their child, she was never found.
However, in a shocking turn of events, Italian authorities have initiated a new investigation into the missing woman's case after new reports came in that claimed Celentano was spotted on an island in Turkey. A woman, Vincenza Trentinella, reported that Celentano is living in Buyukada, near Istanbul, with a man, who she believes is her father.

Age progression photos
In yet another chilling factor, Trentinella claimed she received this information from a dying priest who allegedly claimed the info was passed to him during a confession. Thereafter, Trentinella claims she even traveled to Buyukada to confirm the missing woman's identity. Moreover, when Trentinella returned home to Italy after meeting the pair, she swiftly informed law enforcement about the tragic ordeal. Police are now investigating the case and are also in contact with the Turkish authorities.
Celentano’s parents, Maria and Catello, have been hopefully waiting for their daughter's return one day even after 27 years of wait. The desperate parents even opted for age progression photos which show what the missing girl could now look like at the age of 30. Celentano's photos were displayed in ATMs in many countries but there was no luck. Over the years, several people have come forward claiming they could be the missing girl, but every DNA test taken by these women failed.
Hope is still alive!'
After hearing of Celentano's story, one woman from South America came forward claiming to be the missing girl in October 2022. The woman claimed she had flashbacks of being abducted in the woods as a young girl and that she was kept in a white car before being relocated to a cottage with other children. However, when the woman took a DNA test in February, it was revealed she was not the long-lost Celentano.
Furthermore, despite the heartbreaking disappointment, Celentano's parents penned a heartfelt statement through their social media account claiming they will relentlessly search for their child. “We will continue our research and any other report worthy of further study will be followed,” they said. “Hope is still alive, we do not stop hoping to be able to embrace our beloved daughter again." Moreover, numerous anonymous sightings of Celentano have also been reported from across the world in Mexico, South Africa, and Venezuela, however, the woman was never found.
