Today's Pandemic Playlist comes with the sad news of Cady Groves' death and we thought we'd take a moment to honor a talented artist and beautiful soul like her. See our playlist of the best Cady Groves songs below.

Cady Groves' brother, Cody, shared the news of his sister's death on May 3 and said it was due to natural causes. Read more on the news here.

'Oil and Water'

It is every so often you find an artist that doesn't sell their soul to what will sell in the music industry, but rather remain true to who they are in telling their story. One of Groves' most emotional songs, 'Oil and Water' reveals that Groves was never afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve. In 2015, Cady shared with Celeb Secrets that the song was written after a breakup with her fiance which led to her decision to choose music over her dream of spending the rest of her life as a married woman.

"She said, 'I fell in love from the moment I saw ya. I was dreaming of standing by you at the altar. We gave it our all, we can't try any harder. But some people don't mix, they're like oil and water," Cady sings in the second chorus.

'This Little Girl'

One of her most notable songs, 'This Little Girl' showed Cady's ability to remain fearless in the face of her pains as well as her natural ability to deliver a catchy and firey pop song. Released in 2012, the song takes a cheeky dig at the unfortunate guy who would hurt "this little girl". In a resiliently powerful pop-rock chorus, Cady sings, "Every girl is capable of murder if you hurt her. Watch out, you, don't push me any further, any further.

You're not the only one walking 'round with a loaded gun. This little girl is capable of murder 'cause you hurt her."

'Dreams'

It's hard to see Cady and not be inspired by her bright, light-up-the-room presence. In a Sugar Ray-tinged pop song, 'Dreams' shows that Cady lived her life to the fullest and relished in using her music to inspire others to do the same. Cady shared with Billboard in 2015 that 'Dreams' gave fans a chance to see her "happy-go-lucky" side and "alternate personality shining through."

She said, "This song was really fun to write because the message comes across that no matter what life throws at you, you can dream a dream and make it come true -- and while your failures are yours, it's important to remember that your accomplishments are, too!”

'Caught'

Cady's music is as diverse and refreshing as is her personality. 'Caught' opens in a country style and leads to a hipster chant at the chorus as Cady sings about the thrill of getting "caught" with a lover. The song is fun and playful and one of the things fans will probably miss most about Cady.

'We're The Sh!t'

In 'We're The Sh!t' one of Cady's catchiest songs. Cady mixes up her vocal patterns over 16-bit gaming backing instruments. Stopping and starting at just the right moments to keep listeners on their toes, Cady sings, "Just like a boomerang, we'll always come back. So throw your word grenades, we love the attack. And so before you act, just consider the fact, hey. That we're the shit, we're the shit, we're the shit"
