'Citadel' Episode 3 Review: Nadia and Mason dig into their pasts to unravel mysteries of present day
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Citadel', a science fiction spy thriller, has been the talk of the town lately for its exceptional never-done-before storyline and a big list of great actors supporting the plot. The story is simple and yet has many layers to it that make it a unique approach to the spy story genre. With the lead characters Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Nadia and Richard Madden as Mason, the story feels real and doesn't give off a fictional vibe.
The tale is of two exceptional spies, who get into a bad derailing accident and lose their memories. All that remained were flashbacks and dreams about each other. While Richard Madden's Mason moves on and starts his own family, Nadia is presumed dead. But when a global threat ensues, Stanley Tucci's Bernard Orlick needs to find Mason and Nadia to save the world from the terror of Manticore. 'Citadel' releases each episode every week on Friday, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Unearthing the past to narrate a story
The main theme of 'Citadel' is its exceptional story-telling format. The writers of the show are clearly quite talented and have done a great job of creating a storyline that feels like a true story. The series goes back and forth from the past and comes back to the present to tie up past links with the present day. The color scheme gives off James Bond movie vibes and the music score keeps you attentive. Episode 3 saw many secrets coming out of Pandora's box full of lies and fraud. But, by the end of the episode, it was confirmed that there is more to what we are taking a look at. There are many characters to be introduced who play a major role in the creation of Manticore and the destruction of the world.
Episode 3 perfectly sums up unearthed trauma and many secrets that tie Nadia to being a double spy agent. While Mason unwraps his head and tries remembering about his life before the accident, he falls deep into the spiral of lies, and betrayal of a woman who he was once in love with.
Mission objectives still on the horizon
It might seem like we know what the story of 'Citadel' is trying to narrate and even though we might be successful in assuming the story ahead, there are fewer chances of us correctly piecing the puzzle together. There are many secrets and lies that are beneath the plot, waiting to be discovered. The main element that might be highlighted in the upcoming episodes would be the love affair between Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh and the secrets that lay beneath it all along with lies and a dangerous-yet-undying love.
'Citadel' is now available to watch only on Amazon Prime Video, with new episodes releasing every Friday.
