Christopher Plummer’s family confirmed the death of the Academy Award winner and stated that his wife, Elaine Taylor, was by his side. His manager for 46 years has also confirmed the demise of the legendary actor and said, “Chris was an extraordinary man who deeply loved and respected his profession with great old fashion manners, self-deprecating humor, and the music of words. He was a national treasure who deeply relished his Canadian roots. Through his art and humanity, he touched all of our hearts, and his legendary life will endure for all generations to come. Who is Amanda Plummer?

Amanda Plummer, 63, is an acclaimed American-Canadian actress known for several movies like ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘The Fisher King’, and ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’. Christopher Plummer once told The Guardian that his daughter, Amanda, has “that inner madness and fire that she lets fly… where she unleashes that power from I don’t know, but it’s quite natural to her, and rather frightening.”

For over 40 years, Amanda Plummer has portrayed several critically acclaimed roles, and her performances have garnered several awards. For portraying Lydia Sinclair in ‘The Fisher King’, she received a BAFTA nomination. At the same time, her role as Honey Bunny in ‘Pulp Fiction’ fetched her an American Comedy Award nomination. Plummer received a Tony Award for Featured Actress for portraying Agnes in ‘Agnes of God’. She has also received her first Emmy Award in 1996 for a guest appearance in ‘The Outer Limits’ episode ‘A Stitch in Time’. She received another Emmy after portraying a role in the ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ episode ‘Weak’.

While another wrote: "I was today year's old when I found out that Amanda Plummer from Pulp Fiction was Christopher Plummer's daughter.. Blown. My. Mine. ..." Another tweeted: "Thing I just learned or maybe had forgotten: Amanda Plummer is Christopher Plummer’s daughter. I’m going to go with the latter because duh?"

In 2021, Amanda Plummer will be seen starring as Roberta in Danis Goulet’s sci-fi movie ‘Night Raiders’. The forthcoming movie will also star Shaun Sipos and Eric Osborne in the lead roles.

Amanda Plummer’s personal life and net worth

Amanda Plummer reportedly quit school when she was only 14 years old and started to work as an exercise and apprentice jockey on a horse track. Her first stage appearance was in 1979, where she played Vera Aleksandrovna in ‘A Month in the Country’. Her first film role is from a 1981 Western drama movie ‘Cattle Annie and Little Britches’ where she played Annie’s part. She later starred in ‘The World According to Garp’ as Ellen James. 

Amanda Plummer started seeing screenwriter and director Paul Chart in the late 1990s. Together they both worked in the 1997 road/crime thriller movie ‘American Perfekt’, which also starred Robert Forster and Fairuza Balk.
