Fox News political analyst Gianno Caldwell's younger brother, Christian, was shot dead on June 24 in Chicago. The news came out after Gianno announced on Instagram that his 18-year-old brother is no more.

He wrote, “Devastating news: Yesterday was legitimately the worst day of my existence. I received a call informing me that my teenage baby brother Christian was murdered on the south side of Chicago yesterday morning. After all the things my family has been through never could I have imagined my baby brother’s life would be stolen from him 😭. Please keep my family in your prayers."

What happened to Christian Caldwell?

Christian was shot dead and two others were injured after gunfire broke out in Morgan Park early morning of June 24. According to Fox News' report, it reads, "The Chicago Police Department (CPD) declared that one 18-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the torso was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting on the 11400 block of S Vincennes Ave. A second male victim, 31, was listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the torso as of Saturday morning. Additionally, a female victim, 25, was at the scene and sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. She remains in fair condition, according to CPD." The report further states that an unidentified male suspect entered a black sedan and fled the scene after the shooting.

Sharing his feelings for Christian, who was the youngest of the nine siblings and who turned 18 this year, Gianno said, "I was like his dad because he never knew his father. So my three youngest little brothers, I considered — they were my kids. Those are my sons, so I took care of them. I financially supported them."

Adding to his brother's death, the analyst said that he wants them to "turn themselves in" and be "brought to justice" but he also hopes "they can be rehabilitated." He said, "I would never want to see any street justice or violence against the people who even murdered my little brother. But I do want them brought to justice. And, as a Christian who believes in forgiveness, who believes that there is a second path for people who could do something like this, all I want from my little brother, Christian, is justice. That's it."

According to reports, Gianno and his eight brothers grew up in a poor state. Their mother became addicted to cocaine, and he, along with his siblings, were placed in the custody of his grandmother while his mother attended rehab.
