Chris Brown, who has for long been compared to the King of Pop Michael Jackson, ended the debate once and for all after he sat for an interview on Big Boy on Monday, June 20. The ‘Royalty’ hitmaker dubbed the comparison as “Cap” adding that the late Michael Jackson was light years ahead of him.
The 33-year-old crooner, dancer, and rapper had famously given a tribute to the late icon at the 2010 BET Awards. Ever since, the award-winning singer has been the hot topic of debate about whether he is better than Michael Jackson or not. Chris Brown, when asked how he deals with the comparisons, said that he stays the hell out of it.

Chris Brown ends debate on being compared to Michael Jackson

During his latest interview, Chris Brown cleared the air on the matter saying, “I stay the hell up out of [that argument.] I'ma keep it 100. I kind of back off of it. My personal take on it, I wouldn't even be breathing or even be able to sing a song if that man didn't exist.” Brown added, “So, I don't know if they look at it as a [Michael] Jordan and Kobe [Bryant] thing but I don't."
He continued, “I can't even look at it. He's light years away. There is no competing. Hell no. I got shrines and s**t of this man hanging up in my house. Hell nah, I ain't better than him." In 2019, 50 Cent had claimed that Chris Brown was better than the late musical icon. That same year, Justin Bieber too posted on Instagram giving Chris Brown his flowers. Bieber uploaded an image titled “The Legendary Equation” which goes 'Michael Jackson plus Tupac equals Chris Brown'. In the post, Bieber wrote, "Everyone wants to wait 'til people die to give them the credit they deserve. I'm calling it now- when CB passes away after a long full life, you will miss what you had in front of you the whole time... trust me watch you will see." On the work front, Chris Brown is gearing up for the release of his new album ‘Breezy’ on June 24.

‘So much respect for Chris Brown for saying this’

Reacting to Chris Brown’s latest remarks, one of the users stated, “See??? Chris Brown don’t want this ish, leave the boy alone and let him work without dragging the GOAT Michael Jackson into everything all the time. MJ is beyond, it’s alright to be beneath him, the stratospheric talents he and incredible art he left us are ok to not quite reach.” Another mentioned, “So much respect for Chris Brown for saying this. I would love to see other artists HUMBLE themselves and check their fans/friends/partners/locals or whatever with their constant disrespect of MJ. When you stay silent you are part of the problem. I said what I said!”
One user tweeted, “Chris Brown being real . Now ya'll stop that nonsense of comparing him to MJ ,even Chris knows the truth that Mike is the goat and there is no one in his level!” Someone added, “Leave MJ's name out of it he does not know who Chris brown Is let him rest in peace.” Another person said, “You cannot compare Chris to his goat that's disrespectful to MJ” as one concluded, “Comparing MJ to Chris Brown is one of the most egregious offenses I’ve witnessed in my lifetime.”
