PACIFIC PALISADES, CALIFORNIA: Former celebrity golfer, Paige Spiranac, defended Tiger Woods amid the backlash he has received for a tampon prank he played on his partner Justin Thomas after outdriving him on a hole during the game on Thursday, February 16.

The star golfer Tiger Woods was allegedly caught on camera handing a tampon to Justin Thomas, who after noticing what it was, swiftly flicked it. In the end, both the players could be seen sharing a loud laugh over it. Following the incident, Tiger Woods caught himself under fire from trolls, forcing him to apologize. However, the famed golfer and model Paige Spiranac came to Woods's rescue and tweeted, "If anyone tries to cancel Tiger over this we riot. It's funny."

'You can't pick and choose when to be a feminist!'

Followed by another tweet Spiranac said, "It's interesting to see women outraged by Tiger slipping JT a tampon after out driving him but those same women will quickly tear me down for how I've decided to build my business." "You can't pick and choose when to be a feminist," she claimed. However, as for Woods, he was constantly criticized for pulling such a bizarre prank. Moreover, the star player decided to take the bait and eventually apologized for it after his second round on Friday.

Woods claimed, "it was supposed to be all fun and games." "Obviously," the star played added, "it hasn't turned out that way." He continued, "If I offended anybody in any way, shape or form, I'm sorry." Woods further explained he and Thomas are used to often playing jokes on each other. "I think this did not come across that way," the 47-year-old said. "But, between us, it was different," reported TMZ.

'Strategic approach!'

Following the aftermath of the prank, Spiranac tweeted about the situation a third time, and this time she responded to the trolls in a more strategic manner. "Instead of women being outraged by Tiger and the tampon, I would love for them to actually provide ideas to help," Spiranac wrote on Twitter. "For example I would have [Tampax] team up with the PGA tour to run a campaign where they provide free feminine products at golf courses." "Most don't actually have them and during long rounds it can be a problem for us," she asserted.
