'You’re doing my teeth, right?' Channing Tatum reveals awkward encounter with dental aid who asked him to strip
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Channing Tatum recalls a shockingly cheeky incident! When Channing Tatum went to the dentist, he apparently had an odd experience that left him feeling a little confused. Tatum, 42, revealed that he was asked to remove all of his clothing before going to the dentist.
“Not my actual dentist, but the woman that is the dentist’s assistant — the tech lady — I come in, and she’s like, ‘I’ll take your jacket,’” the 'Magic Mike' star said in an interview with On Demand Entertainment. He continued, “I take off my jacket, give it to her. And she said, ‘You can take the rest of it off.’ I was like, what? Am I supposed to get in like a gown or something like that? It’s a dentist. You’re doing my teeth, right?”

'You can take it off if you wanted'
Tatum laughed until the dental assistant broke the awkward pause because he was unsure of what to say or how to react. “She thankfully broke the moment, and was like, ‘ha ha ha, but you can take it off if you wanted,’” he shared. “Then, she left the room. Now I know that I’m going to be literally laying on this table, and she’s going to be in my mouth.”

Tatum was certainly not going to strip for the eager dental assistant, but she might get a peek of what she was looking for by watching 'Magic Mike's Last Dance,' which was released in theaters on Friday, February 10.
Tatum 'almost didn't recover' from encounter with Matt Damon
This was not the only awkward encounter Channing Tatum had. Channing Tatum recalled his first encounter with Matt Damon, from which he claimed that he "almost didn't recover." The actor claimed in an interview with that he met Damon while working on Steven Soderbergh's 2011 movie 'Haywire.'
He recalls the 'Good Will Hunting' actor stopping by to hang out with Steven Soderbergh after a long day of filming, and they were sitting at a hotel bar in Albuquerque. “I’m just beside myself,” he said. “I’m such a fan and still am. I sat down next to him, and I was like, ‘Hey, man. Where are you from?’ — and I was like ‘I just asked Matt Damon where he’s from,'" as per People.
He continued, “Everyone on the planet knows where Matt Damon is from, and he obviously knows that I know where Matt Damon is from, and I almost didn’t recover. I don’t think I said anything for the next maybe two hours or so, and I still think about it today. Every once in a while, I’ll just have a cold sweat and feel like, I can’t believe….” The '21 Jump Street' actor explained that he doesn’t “really like to meet famous people or meet the people that I admire or even like their work,” because he has the tendency to “panic when I talk to people.”
