'I Love A Mama's Boy' on TLC: Who is Brittany? Matt's new girlfriend has 'intense' relationship with Kelly
It was nothing short of a cathartic moment for 'I Love A Mama's Boy' fans when they watched Kim call off her engagement and dump Matt. After watching Kim being mistreated by her fiance Matt and his mother Kelly constantly, her decision to dump him was welcomed by fans with open arms. Today, Kim is living her dream life in Austin, Texas with her pup Louis away from all the toxic Matt and Kelly's drama.
But what about Matt you ask? Well, after wallowing over his breakup, looks like he too moved on with the help of his mother. In the trailer for the upcoming season 3 of the TLC show we hear Kelly saying "I will do anything to help my son get through this." The mother-son duo declares that they're mending together. Who is 'I Love A Mama's Boy' star Matt's new Girlfriend?
Matt's new girlfriend is a 26-year-old dental assistant named Brittany. Matt gushes while speaking of the new lady in his life. While declaring that her smile could light up a whole room, he reveals that she caught his eye while they were at a coffee shop. He says, "I was getting coffee and I was like well, Matt what the hell do you have to lose? I gave her my phone number. It went from there."
Brittany, too, seems to be totally smitten by the mama's boy aka Matt. While describing him as the "sweetest guy" she knows, she acknowledges that he was hesitant about pursuing her initially because of his big breakup with Kim. She candidly shares her feelings for Matt with him. "You're the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning and the last thing i think about when I go to sleep. You're awesome."
Matt admits, "When we met, I didn't think that anything was going to work out for me. But I feel like I needed to meet you." While Matt and Brittany can't seem to get enough of each other, the fate of their relationship ultimately lies in the hands of Kelly.
What does Brittany think of Matt's mom Kelly?
Before we share what Brittany thinks of Kelly, let's do a quick recap of what Kelly wants for her dear son. In the trailer, she says, "I don't want to be a roadblock to Matthew finding his true love." But before she could finish her sentence, Matt cuts her off, saying she wants a woman who is a "complete clone of her" to be Matt's girlfriend.
Matt makes it very clear to Brittany that his mother's approval is needed for their relationship to work, so he suggests she meet Kelly. In her confessional, Brittany describes Matt's relationship with his mom as "intense" and claims she doesn't know how she feels about it. "Matt's relationship with his mother is very intense." Anytime I ask him what he is doing, he is at the movies with Kelly, going grocery shopping with Kelly, doing this or the other with Kelly and I don't know how I feel about that."
Matt claims that the girl he's going to be with needs to accept his mom. He points out that while Brittany has a "surface-level idea" of his bond with Kelly, she doesn't realize how "deep" it really is. Well, we just hope Brittany knows what she's getting herself into. We can't wait to see how things pan out between Kelly and Brittany, and if she's the one for Matt.
