'FBI' Season 4 finale: Here's why CBS pulled show off air after Uvalde school massacre
In light of the recent school shooting in Texas, CBS has pulled the season finale of 'FBI'. The episode, titled 'Prodigal Son', written by showrunner Rick Eid and directed by Alex Chapple, explored a storyline in which authorities try to stop a mass shooting. While CBS is pulling 'FBI's Season 4 finale, 'FBI: Most Wanted' and 'FBI: International' season finales will continue as regular programming.
The tragic incident took place on Tuesday, May 24, when Salvador Ramos, 18, headed to Robb Elementary School in Uvalde with two assault rifles and opened fire, after shooting his grandmother.

As per the official synopsis of Season 4's finale, 'Prodigal Son' -- "As the team investigates a deadly robbery that garnered a cache of automatic weapons for the killers, they discover one of the perps is a classmate of Jubal's son, who is reluctant to cooperate with the case."
Replacing the season finale will be Season 4's 12th episode, which aired back in February, as reported by Deadline. The episode in question is titled 'Under Pressure', and the synopsis reads --"Maggie goes under cover working in a bar to investigate an anti-government group that regularly gathers there; a single father on the periphery of the group begins to fear he's in danger of becoming collateral damage."
What is CBS's 'FBI' about?
As per the synopsis of the series -- "FBI is a fast-paced drama about the inner workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This elite unit brings to bear all their talents, intellect and technical expertise on major cases in order to keep New York and the country safe. Born into a multigenerational law enforcement family, Special Agent Maggie Bell commits deeply to the people she works with as well as those she protects. Her partner is Special Agent Omar Adom' OA' Zidan, a West Point graduate via Bushwick who spent two years undercover for the DEA before being cherry-picked by the FBI. Overseeing them is Special Agent in Charge, Isobel Castille, who operates under intense pressure and has undeniable command authority. The team also includes Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine, the nerve center of the office whose ability to easily relate to and engage with both superiors and subordinates makes him a master motivator. Newest to the team – and the FBI – is smart and outspoken Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, who spent six years with the NYPD and is now partner to Special Agent Stuart Scola, an Ivy League educated Wall Streeter-turned-FBI agent. These first-class agents tenaciously investigate cases of tremendous magnitude, including terrorism, organized crime and counterintelligence."
