'Burden Of Truth' Season 3 Episode 2: Should Joanna trust Kodie? Fans are divided
Joanna Chang's attempt to get Kodie's kids back to her bombs miserably in the latest episode of 'Burden Of Truth'. Joanna (Kristin Kreuk) is adding this to her list of failures, and this is rattling her further. There's a personal connection with this case, though what it is, we're not sure. The writers have teased some history between the two, as we can find some minuscule flashbacks smattered here and there. Clearly, this is going to be dragged out for a while. The creators want to keep the mystery going.
The whole episode went full steam ahead with Kodie's case and Joanna losing it in the end as Kodie tested positive for cocaine, which is obviously false. The test has been tampered with, and as Joanna says, someone is deliberately trying to mess with her. Yet, Billy Crawford (Peter Mooney) had said earlier, that he doesn't trust Kodie, and that's big because Billy trusts everyone. He says Joanna has tunnel vision when it comes to Kodie, and he might not be entirely wrong either.
"By Law Each Party is to be supervised during Drug Tests I'm pretty sure by the Accusations The Mother had that but the Grandmother more than likely did something to Her Tests & I Believe She wasn't Supervised due to a Tip off. ALL Illegal on the Grandmother's side," a fan wrote, asserting that the test was tampered with.
"How did she [Kodie] test positive for cocaine," a fan wondered while another tweeted, "This just doesn’t make any sense! I believe you Kodie! #burdenoftruth #burdenS4."
Others wrote that Billy might be right about Joanna's 'tunnel vision'. "Billy is worried about Joanna's tunnel vision because this case is personal. Can’t blame the guy but communication is needed if they want to continue to work," a fan tweeted.
"That makes zero sense. Kodie was so open to take that drug test. This was a set up. I’m still on your team Kodie," a fan wrote.
"I knew that test was tampered with," another wrote.
Meanwhile, what is happening with Joanna? Is she pregnant or not? At the end of the episode, she takes a look at the pregnancy test, and it seems as if she still hasn't taken it. Meanwhile, Billy hasn't told Joanna yet that the firm is in severe financial trouble. They've got cute dialogues for each other, but they need to be honest with each other before it all comes tumbling down on them.
"Tell her Billy the firm is losing money," a fan wrote. Meanwhile, others wondered if Joanna will take the test or not, "My favorite scene from this episode! Ruth 1:16-17 and that cliffhanger at the end! Is Joanna gonna take the test?" a fan tweeted.
