What did Casey Arntz detail regarding Bryan Kohberger's addiction?
Casey claimed in an interview with Statesman, “I feel he was looking for validation, and that’s why he fell into that crowd. And honestly, it’s why he fell into the whole drug scene.” She also explained, “He literally used me to get it. I was freaking out and not happy I had heroin in my car and didn’t even know.” Meanwhile, her brother, Thomas Arntz has also contributed to the discussion.
He stated, “He always wanted to be dominant physically and intellectually. He had to show that he was smarter and bigger than you, and try to put me down and make me feel insecure about myself. So much of that was a torment and I didn’t want to be around him anymore.” Further, Thomas added, “It almost seemed to me he had a desire to be the alpha ... For no reason, he’d try to grapple me and put me in headlocks when I didn’t want to. He tried to portray it as just boys being boys, but that’s not the way I ever took it," according to The Independent.
Casey Arntz's claims in old TikTok video
In an earlier TikTok video, she claimed, "My brother was really good friends with him. I'm shaking." Casey also said, "Back in 2017 when I spoke to him he was clean. He was doing security detail at a school, I believe, but he seemed like he was better. Obviously that wasn't true." She also explained an encounter with him during a wedding and said, "At the same wedding he was sitting at the same table as me and my mother. I sat next to him and we talked." She further added, "He nonchalantly decided to meet me driving round the Poconos for heroin and I had no idea. I thought I was doing a nice deed because he needed something [else]."
Earlier, Thomas had also opened up about Kohberger and said, "He would go after my intelligence. He would basically insinuate that I'm kind of slow-witted and that I'm forgetful and that I lack the intelligence to be his friend." "He was mean-spirited, he was a bully. I never thought he would do something like that but at the same time it doesn't really surprise me," Thomas said to The Daily Beast.
