Brigadoon Park shooting: 3 shot by unidentified gunman in San Jose, suspect still at large
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA: Police are currently responding to the scene of a shooting in the area of Brigadoon Park in San Jose on Thursday, March 25, evening. Three people have been injured so far, out of which one victim has been left with life-threatening injuries, officers said.
The two others suffered non-life-threatening injuries, they said. The areas of Daniel Maloney Drive, Brigadoon Way and Camperdown Way are cordoned off as police investigate. Police added that they have no suspect information at this time and are asking the public to avoid the area.

With 5.5 acres of park area "made especially unique courtesy of giant, concrete slides that scale the side of the large hill at the park", according to SanJose.org, Brigadoon is a popular recreation area among kids and family and is a favorite among locals. It has picnic areas, BBQ sites, and playgrounds for toddlers up till kids aged 12 and is open from sunrise to sunset.
The incident marks the eighth mass shooting in nine days in the United States, following the shootings at Atlanta, Georgia (March 16), Stockton, California (March 17), Gresham, Oregon (March 18), Houston, Dallas and Philadelphia (all March 20), and Boulder, Colorado (March 22).
