Bridgette Davis, 36, used TikTok to narrate the awkward conversation she had with her husband's girlfriend after informing her that he had died. Davis, a Cincinnati woman, captioned the video, "When your husband of 10 years dies and you have to tell his mistress," before presenting a harsh text discussion she had with her late husband's lover.

Davis' video has now received over 1.6 million views. Davis' spouse, the father of her two children, committed suicide in 2018 following a long struggle with bipolar disease. She was aware that her husband was seeing another woman prior to his death and chose to text her to inform her of the awful news.

Davis' TikTok video includes screenshots of the mistress reacting in disbelief. "F – – k. I can’t believe this," she said at first, before adding, "I can’t, I’m losing it. I can’t do this again. He promised me." The mistress then asked Davis whether she could visit the gravesite of the deceased. Davis replied flatly, "No."

Some TikTok viewers argued Davis should have told the mistress where the man was buried. One critic responded, "Seems like you texted her just so you could be mean to her and not let her go visit. Either be nice or move on." A second individual added, "She lost a love too. He wrecked your relationship, not her."

However, Davis released further screenshots in another video, in which the mistress acknowledges she knew the man was married. In their text conversation, Davis inquired, "You know he was my husband for 10 years right? That we have two amazing kids together that I homeschool?"

"Yes. I know a lot about things. He needed support, [he] told me him and I were peas in a pod," the mistress retorted boldly. Davis revealed in another video that her husband was not living in their marital house at the time he killed himself. The couple had split up a few months before, but the husband had expressed an interest in reconciling just before his death.
