Photos of Brian Laundrie’s North Port, Florida home, which he shared with his parents and Gabby Petitio, have now come out. The pictures also included a photo of the 23-year-old’s bedroom that contained a gun painted to look similar to the US flag, a disturbing poster showing stabbings and beatings, a Darth Vader mask, and a collection of the Watchmen comics.

The snaps taken inside the 10,000 sq ft modest three-bedroom property came after on Monday, September 20, the FBI searched the house. The agents were seen taking away large boxes from the place. They also took a car that belonged to Brian’s mother, Roberta Laundrie, into their custody. As officers checked the area, they told those close by “you're in a crime scene”.

As per reports, Brian and Gabby lived there with his parents before they began their cross-country trip in a converted van in July. Though Brian returned home on September 1, Gabby did not. Her family reported her missing on September 11 after they could not contact her for several days. However, on September 19, a body matching her description was found inside a national park in Wyoming. And, on September 12, it was confirmed that the remains were hers. Also, authorities ruled her death as a homicide.

“Teton County Coroner Dr Brent Blue confirmed the remains are those of Gabrielle Venora Petito, date of birth March 19, 1999. Coroner Blue’s initial determination for the manner of death is homicide. The cause of death remains pending final autopsy results,” the Denver office of the FBI stated. Meanwhile, Brian has been missing for more than a week after he declined to talk to investigators about his girlfriend’s disappearance.

The property was reportedly bought for $120,000 in 2015 (realtor.com)

A 2017 real estate listing had called the home -- now named an “active crime scene” -- as a “beautiful and freshly painted...ready for new owners.” The listing stated, “This home features an open floor plan with split bedrooms and volume ceilings, corian counter tops, all tile interior, fenced back yard, all on a quiet street convenient to interstate, area shopping and restaurants. Back yard is fenced in with storage shed, outdoor shower and newly rescreened caged pool with salt water system. Recent upgrades include new roof. This could be your piece of Paradise.”

It has been said that the house was bought by the Laundries for $120,000 in 2015. And, two years later, in 2017, the house was put on sale for $215,000, but it did not get any buyers. The listing showed a photo of a bedroom that included posters, baseball caps hanging on the wall, and a keyboard. The refrigerator was decorated with family photos and the sink had a sign that read, “Small blessings make life a joy.” Reports also said the property comes with a pool and a garage with gym equipment.

In another news related to the same case, one of Brian’s neighbors has slammed him and his family for behaving “normal” amid such chaos. Charlene Guthrie said, “I’m really upset now because… [the Laundries] should have absolutely come forward. I mean, I just… can't believe they didn’t do something. I’m really angry now that they… let this go. And that everything was so natural and they remained so normal through the whole thing, you know, while they were here, till he went on the run.”
