Brian Laundrie's neighbor slams family for behaving ‘normal’: 'Nothing bothered them'
A neighbor of Brian Laundrie has reacted to the news of Gabby Petito’s death ruled as homicide and went on to lambast him and his family for acting “normal”. Charlene Guthrie told Fox News Digital, “I’m really upset now because… [the Laundries] should have absolutely come forward. I mean, I just… can't believe they didn’t do something. I’m really angry now that they… let this go. And that everything was so natural and they remained so normal through the whole thing, you know, while they were here, till he went on the run.”
Guthrie’s comment came after on September 21 the FBI confirmed that the remains found inside a Wyoming national park were of the 22-year-old woman, who was on a cross-country trip with Brian in a converted van. While Brian returned to his Florida home on September 1, Gabby did not. She was reported missing by her family on September 11 after they did not hear from her for several days.

Is Brian Laundrie a suspect or still Person of Interest after body matching Gabby Petito found?
After the identification of the body, the Denver office of the FBI said in a statement, “Teton County Coroner Dr Brent Blue confirmed the remains are those of Gabrielle Venora Petito, date of birth March 19, 1999. Coroner Blue’s initial determination for the manner of death is homicide. The cause of death remains pending final autopsy results.”
Brian has been declared a person of interest in the case, but according to his family, they have not seen him since Tuesday, September 14. Earlier, after returning from the trip, he refused to talk to the investigators about his girlfriend’s disappearance. Instead, he hired a lawyer.
Commenting on his ignorance, Guthrie said: “He mowed the lawn. Him and his mother went for a bicycle ride around the block. I mean, everything was just normal life once he came back. And I just can’t get over the fact that they — it seemed like nothing bothered him. How can you do that?”
Though Brian has not yet been named an accused in the case, his neighbor said that the FBI’s confirmation of Gabby’s death and Brian’s sudden disappearance look “really, really bad for him”. “I have children, and I know that you do what you can to protect your child, but, you know, that can go so far, and you gotta do the right thing eventually. You have to,” Guthrie stated, before adding that by this time, Brian “should be a suspect” after Gabby’s death has been announced as a homicide.
In another news related to Gabby’s case, ‘America’s Most Wanted’ host John Walsh has promised to catch Brian. He said, “I'm settling up to catch this dirtbag. This is a homicide. This dirtbag is out there. I don't know how he got out of the house with the FBI and local cops watching him day and night.” The 75-year-old also slammed his parents and added: “At some point, these parents are going to have to pay. They're going to have to pay for being an accessory for putting him on the run.”
