Brandon Fink: US Marine slams cops for not charging Dem senator Janet Bewley in crash that killed daughter and wife
BYRON, GEORGIA: The devastated father has targeted the cops after his daughter died in a car accident involving Wisconsin Democratic lawmaker Janet Bewley. On July 22, 2022, Khalessi Fink, 5, and her mother Alyssa Ortman died in a horrifying collision. Brandon Fink, the grieving spouse says he's left to "suffer without any hope for justice".
On the day, Bewley, 70 pulled out of the Maslowski Beach parking lot directly into the path of Ortman's vehicle after having cataract eye surgery the day before. Ortman's car skidded across the highway before getting struck by another vehicle following the collision with Bewley. Their daughter was declared dead there, but her mother, Alyssa Ortman, 27, was sent to a hospital nearby where she eventually died.

Brandon Fink wasn't informed about Bewley's involvement
Fink claims that four days after the death of his daughter Khaleesi, a cousin informed him that a senator was engaged in the collision. He claims that the police never told him about this until then, the Daily Mail reported.
Acussing Bewley of being 'buddy buddy' with the police, Fink launched a wrongful death suit in the Wisconsin Circuit Court in October. According to a Wisconsin State Patrol report, Khali's mother was traveling above 100 mph at the time of the collision on a route with a 45 mph speed limit. Fink, however, claims to have learned about the report a day after he filed the civil lawsuit, while he acknowledges that at first, witnesses had claimed Ortman was speeding.
What are the allegations made by Brandon Fink?
"Right after her car hit and killed a beautiful 5-year-old American girl, she was being buddy-buddy with cops and firemen, and telling people it was just a little accident like there's nothing to see here, Fink said as per the outlet.
He continued, "That was one of the most painful moments of this entire thing for me. Hearing that my daughter meant so little to this person that they instantly just got out of the car and started acting like it was no big deal..."
Flink revealed that the senator has never reached out to him, nor expressed any sympathy. She didn't even send flowers. He questions why it is taking so long to decide on charges to be made against her. "Not a single tear, and not one apology. It might have been said to the news or something, but never to me from her. Not once. No, reach out, no sorry for your loss, and not even flowers sent to the home... this all certainly felt absolutely heartless and just shattered my heart even more to hear and see." He even asks that he couldn't find a case of someone not being restricted from driving after eye surgery and believes that the District Attorney doesn't 'plan on pushing any criminal charges against her.
Police reports dose not mention cataract surgery
In a statement about the wreck at the time of the incident, Bewley's office made no mention of the cataract surgery as per the outlet. Moreover, Bewley, a member of the Senate since 2015, said she is not seeking reelection because she wanted to spend more time with her recently retired husband and grandchildren. Bewley was not injured in the crash.
