NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA: Beau Blake survived a massive attack after he was bitten, constricted, and dragged into a swimming pool. A 10-foot long python got hold of the five-year-old boy before being rescued by his grandfather as reported by a Melbourne radio station. "Once we cleaned up the blood and told him that he wasn't going to die because it wasn't a poisonous snake... he was pretty good actually,” said his father, Ben. The incident took place on Thursday, November 24, in a New South Wales home, which is around eight hours north of Sydney, where the family was enjoying their day at the poolside.

"It was instant, I saw a big black shadow come out of the bush and before they hit the bottom, it was completely wrapped around his leg," Ben told 3AW on Friday, November 25. Allan, 76, was able to manage to pull his grandson, who was still in the clutches of the snake from the pool and then handed it over to Ben. “He passed him up to me and then I had to separate the two. I released him from his leg. It was somewhat of an ordeal,” said the father. Beau was naturally shaken from the incident and they were continuing to monitor the bite on the child’s ankle for signs of infection. Ben said about his son, "He's an absolute trouper," reported People.

A snake catcher, Kane Anderson, told 7News that though the breeding season is on, he is still quite "surprised" by the event, "It's a freaky incident, I've not heard one like this before.” Anderson further said, “Always treat a snake" like it is venomous.

In another snake attack on Tuesday, November 22, a two-year-old toddler was feared to have been poisoned after being bitten by a venomous brown snake in Queensland. The caretaker noticed two puncture wounds on the hand, and spotted the snake measuring about 40cm, reported the outlet.

Miraculously, the child did not show any symptoms of being poisoned by snake venom. Despite this, as a precaution, the toddler was taken to Bowen hospital where he is in stable condition and under observation. Paramedics did not identify the species of the snake but described it as a "brown snake." Fully grown eastern brown snakes can reach up to 2.5 meters and are considered among the most dangerous in the world. ‘Kidz at the Beach’ is yet to comment on the incident, reported MEAWW.
