For Jennifer Williams, a 10-year-long relationship ended with a glass of water. You read it right. Divorce was in the cards for her and then-husband Eric Williams but no one thought their marriage would come to a screeching halt. The couple dated six years and were married for almost four, which made it all the more surprising. In Season 1 of 'Basketball Wives', Eric threw water on Jennifer's face during a sit-down dinner but not before they tried to pull an amicable split where they would go on to become good friends. Clearly, that didn't happen.

Jennifer and Eric's marriage ended in a $30M divorce?
Even though Jennifer forgave Eric for the incident and his admitted infidelity, she couldn't place the kind of person he had become. "He’s just a different person from the one I know. I feel like he’s falling off the deep end, and I’m like, you can’t be that bitter about what’s going on," she told Essence in an interview dated 2011. They divorced the same year and apparently, she won big, walked away with a $30 million settlement, Celebrity Net Worth reported.
At this point, it would be easy to assume that a part of her $25 million estimated net worth came from her settlement but that is not the case. She is a successful entrepreneur and a popular TV star who walks away with an impressive paycheck every season. And why not? Given the drama she brings to the show, she apparently gets paid $340,000 every season, which includes the reunion episodes.
When Jennifer quit the show to rebrand herself
Jennifer burst into the reality TV scene with her appearance on 'BBW'. Right from the word go, viewers were convinced that she was here to stay. She did, albeit for four seasons. Her exit had nothing to do with her beef with Evelyn Lozada. Jennifer wanted to "rebrand" herself, change directions in life and grieve a little over a personal loss. Her mother died of cancer in 2015.
Even then, she was never fully detached from the series and made a guest appearance in Season 6. While away, she featured in Karamo Brown's 'The Next: 15', an unscripted show that ripped reality shows apart. After she worked on her businesses and way forward, the wife was back to make up with Evelyn and put the bitter past behind them. And just like that, she was back on camera. This aside, she runs a health club Flirty Girl Fitness, launched a lip gloss line Lucid Cosmetics and a fashion boutique Classy Girl Wardrobe.
She got a restraining order against ex-boyfriend Tim Norman
After her divorce with Eric was settled, Jennifer dated CMG entertainment's Cisco Rosado. They split in 2014. Even though she jumped into the dating pool, the star was taking it slow. She was dealing with her mother's death when 'Welcome to Sweetie Pie' star Tim Norman walked into her life. "It was going well," she said when she appeared in one of the episodes of the OWN show, but the relationship spiraled out of control in just a year. Apparently, Tim's temper had become "aggressive." She claimed that he had, on multiple occasions, gotten abusive towards his co-stars, Cheatsheet reported.
He allegedly stalked Jennifer to the point where she had to file a restraining order against the ex-boyfriend, who is awaiting trial. AJC reported that he was "accused of being the mastermind behind the murder-for-hire plot that led to his nephew's death."
Nude picture scandal
She discussed the scandal during the Season 2 reunion episode but the general vibe around it was she had leaked naked pictures of herself to be more famous. She denied it left, right, and center saying she didn't have to pull such tricks to be on top of her game. However, soon after there were rumors that what Jennifer was not admitting to could very much be the truth. Her photos were leaked on World Star Hip Hop and she is friends with the CEO, and even refers to her as "sis," a blog, Kiss Richmond, claimed. As tempting as this explanation may seem, for now, let's side with Jennifer because she is in the front and center of the scandal and has addressed it already.
