'Entanglements': August Alsina mocks Jada Pinkett-Smith with track, says 'left your man just to f*** with me'
Following his recent claims of having an affair with Jada Pinkett Smith, August Alsina is adding fuel to the fire with the release of a new track. Titled 'Entanglements', the new song fires back at Jada after she put rumors of an alleged affair to bed on 'Red Table Talk' last week and said their connection to one another was nothing more than an "entanglement."
Alsina shared the song on Instagram which revealed a romantically-charged cover with its title superimposed on pink silk. The song was written by Derrick Milano and features Rick Ross with lyrics such as "That ain't my girl, but I got the key to the crib and to the car" and "You left your man just to f*** with me and break his heart." The track also sees Alsina defining Jada's choice of words to describe their relationship with "The definition of entanglement is when you're tangled in the sheets."
Regardless of the track's direction, fans on Twitter still deem it a "bop", saying, "Lets be real “entanglements” is a bop that bihh really hitting" and "Lmaooooooo Wait August Alsina & Rick Ross really dropping a track called ‘ENTANGLEMENTS’ 2020 different dawg!!!!!" One fan said, "August releasing a song called entanglements is such a powerful marketing move lmao I’m screaming" while another wrote, "He said he got the key to the crib and shawty heart, whew aug you snapped."
Jada's explanation didn't sit well or give closure for her superstar husband Will Smith who asked her to elaborate. "Yes, it was a relationship, absolutely. I was in a lot of pain and I was very broken," she said. "Now in the process of that relationship I definitely realized that you can't find happiness outside of yourself." Jada had said she met Alsina through Jaden and mentioned that at the time the singer was “really sick”. “And it all started with him just needing some help, me wanting to help his health, his mental state,” she explained. “The outpouring for him from our family was initially about his health. We found all those different resources to help pull him through and from there you and I were going through a very difficult time.”
