Ashley Darby compares Chris Bassett to Michael Darby, annoyed 'RHOP' fans say 'there's no comparison'

POTOMAC, MARYLAND: Just as the dust was settling down in the feud between Candiace Bassett and Ashley Darby, the 'Real Housewives of Potomac' stars are back at locking horns again. Ever since Ashley announced that she was separating from her husband Michael Darby, Candiace was hopeful about attempting to rekindle their friendship. But things turned sour within a blink of an eye after Ashley attempted to compare Michael to Candiace's husband Chris Bassett.

The ongoing season 7 of 'RHOP' kicked off with Ashley accusing Chris of making her feel uncomfortable by sliding into her DMs. Thankfully, Candiace and she worked things out when Candiace pointed out that her husband was just trying to promote his business by responding to Ashley's Instagram story, and had no other ulterior motives. But when Gizelle Bryant too piled on Chris by accusing him of making her feel uncomfortable as well, all hell broke loose. Candiace lashed out at the production team by demanding they not attempt to tarnish her husband's image but instead focus on Michael's inappropriate behavior and actions. When Ashley heard Candiace dragging Michael in her rant, the housewife decided to set things straight. The housewife tried comparing Chris to Michael, in terms of making people feel uncomfortable with their inappropriate actions.

Though Candiace snapped at Ashley and made it clear that there was no comparing Chris and Michael, fans too sided with her in defending Chris. Many fans took to Twitter accusing Ashley of trying to paint Chris in a bad light to seek revenge against Candiace. A fan tweeted, "It was easy to see @_AshleyDarby was trying to get “revenge” on @TherealCANDIACE bc of the #Michael drama. Only problem is #Chris didn’t do anything Michaels mess is documented #RHOP #shetriedit & this is coming from some1 who wasn’t a fan of #Candiace @BravoWWHL @Andy @BravoTV." "I’m not saying Gizelle is innocent cause she def should’ve pulled Candice to the side…but I definitely think ASHLEY wanted to make this Chris shit a story line more than anybody. She been waiting for a chance to get back at Candice for dragging Michael’s predator a** #RHOP," wrote a fan. "Ashley has to stop. Michael Darby has literally been accused of sexually harassing Bravo staff who worked on the show. You cannot compare that to these Chris allegations. #RHOP," pointed out a fan.
