MOSCOW, IDAHO: From the killer's motive to how two roommates - Dylan Mortensen and Bethany Funke - survived, many questions remain unanswered in the murders of four University of Idaho students, Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21. And though people are looking for answers, they are also waiting for justice to be served in the cases that have been pending for so long.
From Asha Degree, a nine-year-old girl from Shelby, North Carolina, who disappeared on the night of Valentine's Day 22 years ago, to Christine Silawan, a 16-year-old high school student and church collector who was found dead in a vacant lot in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, in 2019, Reddit users discussed various cases whose perpetrators are still at large.

Jason Landry
When asked, "What crime do you really want to see solved and Justice served?" One of them pointed to the case of Jason Landry, a Texas State University student who disappeared two years ago on December 13, 2020. The user wrote, "His car was found crashed and abandoned in Luling, TX. His clothes were found on the road, and his wallet and phone were left in the vehicle but no sign of Jason."

Asha Degree
One of many mentioned Degree's case, "So many questions and unsettling details about this case." Commenting on this, one wrote, "I am skeptical that this one will ever find an answer, sadly. Either someone knows something and is scared to tell, or someone is guilty and never uttered a single word." On February 14, 2000, at about 2.30 am, Degree's father checked on her and her older brother in the room they shared. Both were asleep in their beds. However, when the mother came in at 6.30 am to wake her children for school, she was gone. There was no sign of forced entry, no obvious indication of where she had gone.
Madeleine McCann
On May 3, 2007, Madeleine McCann, of Rothley, Leicestershire, was vacationing with her family at the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz, Portugal, when she disappeared, BBC reports. On January 20, 2008, some sketches of a suspect were published based on a British vacationer's description of a "creepy man" In May 2013, investigators claimed they had identified "a number of persons of interest" To date, however, they have failed to apprehend any of them. One user wrote, "She was only 3 years old at the time and she was taken from her bed even though her twin siblings were in the cot next to her and they were left as they were. Her parents were under suspicion but removed from the suspect list in 2008 although many people still suspect it was them for multiple reasons. It has been 15 years and she is still missing Christian Brukener [the man suspected of kidnapping and killing] is the top suspect in the case but no charges have been pressed yet."
Michelle Parker
Michelle Parker was 33 when she disappeared on November 17, 2011. She was last seen dropping her twins at her ex-fiance’s house, Dale Smith. One of the users said Parker "a mother who is missing and still not found" should get justice.
Christine Silawan
Another took out the case Silawan and wrote, "Her face had been mutilated and she was stabbed several times. She was naked from the waist down. It was brutal and I hope it is brought to justice."
