Team Arrow 2040 is having some trouble adjusting to their role as Star City's protectors in 'Arrow' Season 8 and a sneak peek from the season's episode three 'Leap of Faith' suggests that the team may be heading for disaster.

Admittedly, the team has been having some growing pains since the very first episode of the season, especially with Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara) refusing to work with her teammates.

In the sneak peek, which was released on October 29, we see the team uncovering the Deathstroke Gang's plan to dominate the city.

John "JJ" Diggle Jr (Charlie Barnett) plans on killing every member of the Star City Unification Movement, including William Clayton (Ben Lewis), so the Deathstrokes can take their place as the city's elite.

William suggests that they use him as bait to lure JJ out into the open and he gets some support from Connor Hawke (Joseph David-Jones). However, Mia refuses to risk her brother's life and decides to lead them on a risky full-frontal assault, attacking all the members of the Deathstroke Gang in one swoop.

Considering how badly the team lost to the Deathstrokes the last two times they went up against them, this doesn't seem like a particularly great idea but Mia is dead-set on her reckless plan.

Connor and Zoe Ramirez (Andrea Sixtos) try to warn her that this could end in tragedy but Mia ignores their warnings, which probably means we're going to see some serious injuries handed out soon.

After all, something has to happen to shape Mia into a worthy successor to her father Oliver Queen / Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and this hardheadedness will have to be whittled away at some point, especially since Mia is supposed to be the star of her own spin-off show once the season ends.

'Arrow' Season 8 Episode 3 'Leap of Faith' airs on The CW on October 29.
