BUCKEYE VALLEY, ARIZONA: A woman from Arizona managed to survive after she and her two girls were attacked by killer bees while taking family photos. The two young girls were saved and sustained no injuries due to their mother's "quick thinking."

Arizona Fire and Medical Authority reportedly said that the woman, who has not been named, hurried her daughters into a nearby car while they were being attacked by bees in Buckeye Valley, and as a result, she suffered "the brunt of the stings," according to the Daily Mail. The AFMA claimed in a Facebook post on Sunday, April 30, that the woman's "quick thinking" prevented her daughters from being stung, but she later had to be taken to a nearby hospital after being stung more than 75 times. Later, she was released from the hospital after making a full recovery.

'Never get into water and do not fight the bees'

Video from the scene shows firefighters rushing to carry one of the girls out of the SUV as the crew spray foam over it. The 911 call that the children's grandmother made to a Phoenix dispatcher to report the attack was also made public by AFMA.

The grandmother reportedly said in the call, "Please hurry, please hurry. My daughter can't get in the car. She's being attacked by bees." Later, she is makes another call, asking "please send some help," noting that her "granddaughters are with her" but that she does not believe they were attacked.

AFMA said that personnel arrived and used foam "to calm the bees" before removing the children from the vehicle. "If you are attacked by bees getting inside to a safe place is key. Run in a straight line, cover your face, and get to shelter. Never get into water and do not fight the bees. Stay safe Arizona," AFMA concluded.

'You do not want to mess with these types of bees by yourself'

AZ Bee Kings owner Aaron Lorti said that this was the time of year when killer bee activity was at its peak, according to FOX 10 Phoenix. "Around this time of year, they're pollinating, picking new places, they are swarming. You can get anywhere from 10 to 20 calls a day," he said.

Lorti stated that the bees were "very, very aggressive, very territorial, and if you mess with them, they will try to kill you." "Once one stings you and you try to run away, the whole hive will try to go after you. You do not want to mess with these types of bees by yourself," he said, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
