Apple Vice President Tony Blevins has been fired after he made a crude comment about fondling big-breasted women in a viral video, posted by Daniel Mac on TikTok and Instagram. An unnamed spokesperson confirmed to CNBC that “Tony is leaving Apple.”

Mac posted the video to his 1.8 million followers on Instagram on September 27, which has now been viewed more than 1.2 million times. In the video, which is a part of a series where Mac asks owners of expensive cars about their occupations, the creator can be seen approaching and stopping Blevins, who is spotted parking a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Mac asks him, “Good sir, your car is awesome. What do you do for a living?” To which Blevins responds by saying, “I race cars, play golf and fondle big-breasted women. But I take weekends and major holidays off.”

Following the video that went viral, Blevins got caught in the criticism. An internal investigation was opened which resulted in Blevins, who worked with the company for 22 years and was one of about 30 executives to report directly to Apple CEO Tim Cook or COO Jeff Williams, being removed as the head of his team, reports Bloomberg. Blevins told the outlet, “I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by my mistaken attempt at humor.” The outlet states that his remark was a misquote of a line from the 1981 movie 'Arthur.'

After the news of his removal from the company broke out, netizens reacted in disappointment. One wrote, "Apparnetly this video was the reason Apple fired their procurement VP Tony Blevins. It’s off-color but it’s also a loose quote from a movie. It’s seems overly ‘wokey-cokey’ to fire someone for this. I worry cos I’ve made stupid jokes like this before." One more said, "Firing Tony Blevins after 22 yrs for a joke in his spare time. For citing an old movie! @apple is really playing the woke “safe space game”. Horrible!!" Another wrote, "@tim_cook I love apple products, but I’m super disappointed the company would fire Tony Blevins for quoting the movie Arthur outside of work. A black eye for Apple."
