Maybach S650: Mercedes reveals exclusive carbon-fiber night edition, only 15 units made available
The Mercedes Maybach S650 has always redefined the term, "supreme". The German auto pioneer revealed the carbon-fiber night edition exclusively for the US. To add to the exclusivity, only 15 units are made available. The S650 has always been turned heads each time it took to the streets and the night edition just adds to that attention it has always commanded. The look boasts of the unique interior carbon-fiber trim in the front and rear of the vehicle, a carbon fiber rear spoiler and shadow “smoked” 20” Maybach forged wheels.
It's topped off with Obsidian Black exterior paint and gets exclusive Nappa Leather upholstery in Porcelain and Black. The S650 is called a powerful sedan for a reason. With a 6.0-liter V12 Biturbo engine under the hood that churns out 621 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque, the sedan, according to Mercedes, can rocket from zero to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. Plus, it comes with 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission.
Adding to this is the 'Magic Body Control' system that uses a camera to scan the road ahead and proactively counteract bumps and dips for a supremely smooth ride. If the outside of the sedan is all about power, the interiors are all about luxury as the front and rear seats of the car come with a massage feature. Leather-covered door sills and seat consoles, and a wood/leather steering wheel add to an immersive driving experience.
Other major specifications of the S650 include 64-color ambient lighting and extended interior ambient lighting in the rear cabin, LED Intelligent Light System with Ultra Wide Beam headlamps and Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Dual 12.3” high-resolution displays merged beneath glass panel, Smartphone Integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an AIRMATIC semi-active air suspension. The Maybach S650 is set to take on the likes of Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls Royce Ghost.
