LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Stephen 'tWitch' Boss's body has been released to his family after the dancer's untimely death. The body was handed over on Thursday, December 15, two days after he was found dead in an LA motel near his home.

Radaronline.com shared that the late dancer’s mother, Connie Boss Alexander, his brother and grandfather have arrived at the home to be on Boss’ wife Allison Holker’s side during the time of grief. This comes after the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office reportedly pronounced the 40-year-old’s manner of death as suicide and the cause of death a gunshot injury.

Reports have said that before taking his life, Boss had gone to the Oak Tree Inn in Encino, California, which is not very far from his house. He apparently disappeared from his home suddenly on December 12, leaving Allison worried. She also went to the Los Angeles Police Department for help on December 13. However, the father-of-three’s body was discovered inside the motel’s bathroom by a staff member before cops were called.

After Boss’ death, his wife issued a statement saying, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him.”

She also mentioned, “He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”

Former first lady Michelle Obama remembered the television personality in an Instagram post while noting, “I was heartbroken to learn about the passing of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who I got to know over the years through my Let’s Move! initiative and visits to The Ellen Show. Stephen was an incredible force—someone who radiated kindness and positivity, and made sure that people around him could feel it, too. We felt his spirit in every dance, every DJ set, every piece of creativity that he brought to life.”

It was earlier reported that nothing significant was found near Boss’ body. But now TMZ has claimed that he did leave a suicide letter, which was seen by the cops. The publication also stated that the letter was “an ambiguous reference to his past challenges,” but added that what was exactly written in it has not been disclosed.
