Joe and Jill Biden trolled for bizarre pic with Jimmy Carter and wife: 'Bidens crawled into a doll house'

President Biden and FLOTUS Jill Biden paid a visit to the former President and his wife on April 29, with the photo from the interaction being released on May 3

President Joe Biden made history, becoming the first president to visit Jimmy Carter when he did so on April 29. It was the first time the Carters were visited by a president since they left office. The official photo from the interaction has been released to the public on May 3 via The Carter Center and quickly became a source of great amusement.

The 96-year-old Carter is currently the oldest former president alive and lives a quiet life in Plains, Georgia with his wife Rosalynn. In 1976, when Carter announced a run for the White House, Biden was one of the first national lawmakers to pitch his support. Since then, the two have enjoyed a close relationship, which led Biden to visit the former POTUS when he was in the state. "Joe Biden was my first and most effective supporter in the Senate. For decades, he's been my loyal and dedicated friend," Carter said in a recorded statement during the Democratic National Convention in 2020, endorsing Biden. The president was in Georiga to promote his infrastructure plans and addressed a rally in Duluth after visiting the Carters. While he has been quite outspoken under previous administrations, Carter has mostly been absent from public life after a series of health conditions in 2019.

Joe Biden says 'I'm in trouble' as he looks for lost mask only to find it in pocket, Internet asks 'is he 5?'

The center tweeted out the photo, along with the caption, "We’re pleased to share this wonderful photo from the @POTUS and @FLOTUS visit to see the Carters in Plains, Ga.! Thank you President and Mrs. Biden!"

As you can see, the photo seems to show the Bidens towering over their predecessors. The Carters arent' really that short, the image was likely taken with a wide-angle lens since the Carter home is quite small. No official reason has been given, which is what quickly led to the image being widely trolled on social media.

'Are the Carters hobbits?' asks Twitter

"So funny! It looks like the Bidens crawled into a doll house. The ratios between just Jill and the chair are off and then you look POTUS and he looks ginormous" one person said. Another tweeted, "Adorable! But am I the only one who thinks this looks like a tiny doll museum, and Joe and Jill are giants?"

Another joked, "I knew he was a peanut farmer, I didn’t know he was literally Mr. Peanut" One user tweeted, "Bruh the perspective of this photo. are the Carter's hobbits or are the Biden's just giants"

One person made another reference to the Lord of the Rings and tweeted, "Four of my favorite people...in a photo with BAFFLING perspective issues...unless this is an outtake from the first act of Lord Of The Rings." Another jokingly called the moment, "Honey I shrunk the ex President".

Another shocked user asked, "Who took this photo? Why are the Carter's so small? How tall is President Biden??? Is this the Matrix????!!!!" One user joking tweeted a GIF of Ant-Man and said, "Additional photo of Joe Biden with Jimmy Carter."

Others though also used the photo as an opportunity to troll former president Donald Trump. One person said, "I see grace and dignity in this. It might sound petty but can you imagine the former guy getting down on his knees to be closer to the Carters in this photo?? For even a moment?"

Others slammed the Bidens for not wearing masks in the photos, but as several outlets reported, both the Bidens and the Carters have been fully vaccinated. That means there is little chance of them spreading Covid-19 to each other, which is why both couples did not have their masks on during the photo and could be seen so close to each other.
