On October 16, Amouranth shared the story of the abuse she had been dealing with during her marriage. Later she recorded another stream where she shared life updates with her 5.9 million followers. She began the stream by saying, "I want to talk to you guys about the situation. Thank you everyone who has been super kind and supportive lately. Over the past few days I’ve had lots of people reach out to show concern, that means a lot."
She then went on to apologise to the viewers in case her call with her abusive husband was hard to watch for some people and added that she did not know what to do. She said it was the first time her husband had heard himself on recording while he was being abusive and that was when, "It really sunk in how much of an a*****e he really is" She then laughed and added, "It’s like, you never even realised, idiot?"
She shared the status of her husband and said, "He is getting help." About her personal well-being, she said, "As of today I have access to all my accounts and finances again," and said that she was also "seeking legal and emotional counsel."
She expressed her gratitude again and said, "I didn’t think that many people would give a s**t, to be honest, it’s kind of crazy. Even haters are like, ‘Damn, I f*****g hate Amouranth, but you know what, I hope she’s OK,’ that’s so nice.”
Speaking about her abusive relationship she said that it has been happening on an on-and-off pattern over years but the police refused to help since she did not come to any physical harm. During the stream, she read out one of her follower's comments which read, "I thought you were a girlboss," to which she replied, "No, I was a girl employee, now I can be a girlboss." She told viewers about how she was able to have friends in her life again and was able to "wear some clothes" and ended the stream by saying she was going to "take some time to process things, spend some time with my animals, feel like a human again," and that it was the time for a "new chapter."
